Darren’s POV

“I’m Al…” I began, but he stopped them short by asking, “are you really going to answer that question like an omega? Laying at my feet?”.

His words hit home hard and almost felt like he was taunting me, if he knew the relationship I had with his daughter, then he was just being nice…with pain surging through my veins, I slowly stood to my feet.

“I am the Alpha of the shadow pack.” I said, but his face gave no emotions making me gulp wondering what he was thinking, could it be that he really didn’t know me with that introduction of mine, or he didn’t know the whereabouts of his daughter for the past six years?

“I’m Darren Thane… The alpha of the shadow park.” I said again before stretching out my hand in hopes for a handshake, but he glared at my outstretched hands, making me put them down amidst an embarrassed chuckle.

If I were him too, I wouldn’t exchange a shake with a man who looked like me and worst still couldn’t take the blows his guards had given me.

His eyes
