Chapter 24: How Could You?

I was in complete awe of Mathias. It had been a few hours since I had him and so far I’m the only one who has held him besides the nurse and doctor. He has been nursing like a champ and he was already such a good little pup. My mom and beta Alex were still at the hospital with me and there was still no sign of Alpha Jackson. I was hoping he would be here by now but nope. At this point I was getting really really tired.

Alright mom. I’m exhausted. I need a nap. Can you take Mathias so I can get an hour nap before his next feeding? I ask

I watch her as she walks over and sits in the chair across the room. I then roll over and soon sleep takes over.
