The house was quiet, nothing out of the ordinary for house sounds at all. Now that I was awake I knew I wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep any time soon. I felt warm like I was bathed in sunlight, the glittering gold of its rays peeking through my closed eyelids. It was warm and comforting and part of me didn’t want to wake up, but a bigger part wanted to see the golden sunlight because it felt so warm and welcoming.
