Chapter Twenty Two

I stood silent, I couldn't pull my eyes away from the pile of ash that had been Vivian a few seconds ago.

Aura, still surrounded by light, turned to her father. Clyde dropped to his knees, begging Aura to forgive him.

She stared at him, her eyes glowing brighter with each word, the light surrounding her pulsed as she listened to her father begging for his life.

She let her hands fall to her sides, and the light surrounding her disappeared. Her eyes returned to normal, I heard her voice come through our bond.

"Ask him why he let Vivian do those things to me." I jumped at the anger in her voice.

"Clyde, why did you let Vivian hurt Aura?"
