Reagan’s POV

Although I have never needed the services of Dr. Monroe, I have met him many times over the years. I have relied on him for his medical knowledge more than anything. He is also an asset to have around for those people who are wolfless or pregnant.

At first, he felt awkward, and he kept calling me ‘your majesty’. I was no longer the Alpha King, and I had to keep correcting him. In the end, he settled for calling me ‘sir’ as he didn’t feel comfortable calling me by my first name. To distract himself, he talked about the pregnancy spike within the kingdom. It was good to hear, as new pups meant the next generation was being born. He measured multiple parts of my body with a tape measure. “Do you have a preference on what style of leg you would like, sir?” I hadn’t even thought about it.

“What are my options? What is your opinion?” I asked him.

“This is not the sort of thing we offer in the wolf kingdom, so when I was asked about it. I did a quick bit of research on what hum

Ellie’s POV When I met Richard last time, he was pleasant and respectful. Considering I am not that sociable, we got along. He felt comfortable enough to talk to me about his investigation. But in my mind, there were a lot of unanswered questions that he hadn’t even thought about. So I asked them. I didn’t expect to hear from him again, as I believed he had gotten everything he needed. That was until I got a call from Sam asking me to contact him. “Could you show me exactly where you found Reagan? Something isn’t adding up in my investigation,” he said. It would mean going back to the woods where we found him. But it would allow me to visit Edgar and collect any of Sam’s belongings, now that I know she is not going back there. Given that the ceremony was organized for 11 pm. It would make it a long day driving for me. But I could achieve so much. My only concern would be that my truck is old and not used to driving that far. But I did it once a month when I visited Sam, so it should

Reagan’s POV It was 5 am, and we were leaving. “I’ll see you in a couple of days,” Ellie told Sam in an attempt to console her.“I didn’t get to see you,” Sam wailed. I wanted to feel guilty for taking up so much of Ellie’s time. But I didn’t, not in the slightest.“Hey. Stop that. You will be so busy over the next few days getting things ready. Then I will be there. I promise.”“But I won’t get to see you then either,” Sam complained. This was going nowhere. I nudged Phillip, as he had something to give Ellie.“Sorry to interrupt. But I have this for you, Ellie,” Phillip said, handing over her invitation. All the standard guests got a bronzed printed invitation. Whereas Ellie was to have a different.“It’s gold,” Sam remarked.“I was instructed by the Alpha King himself to ensure your one guest received a VIP invitation. He wants her to have the best experience possible whilst she is at the palace. He hopes this makes up for any misunderstandings between the two of you,” Phillip tol

Ellie’s POV To say Reagan rocked my world would be an understatement. I was completely and thoroughly fucked from pillar to post. I don’t think there was a surface in this bedroom we hadn’t had sex on. Thank goodness all the blinds had been closed. Reagan made me climax so many times I lost track.Kiki felt jealous because she was closer to Callan than Reagan and I were. Yet I was the one who got to have so much pleasure at his expense. Considering her virginity, I’m not confident she would have been able to cope. “I want to try. I want that experience,” she snapped at me in frustration. I can see why she was frustrated. I would feel the same way if the situation were reversed. As I came down from yet another orgasm, I collapsed on top of Reagan as I tried to catch my breath. “Is it always like this?” I asked him. He didn’t say anything, so I pushed myself up. “You know, sex with your kind?”“You mean I’m your first shifter? I was lost in thought and figured out that this is the peak

Reagan’s POV When I spoke to Ellie in the past, she had always come across as an intelligent and capable woman. She also comes across as a bit of an angry psycho. But since meeting her, I know the anger is because of her jealousy. It wasn’t what I expected, but I am glad she was honest with me, especially seen that we would be family soon. I hoped that when she offered a truce, things would change, and I would get to encounter the friendly Ellie that everyone else saw. But when Sam began telling me things that I shouldn’t tell Ellie, I got worried that our truce would be short-lived. As Ellie would be furious about Sam’s initial treatment at the palace. The basis of any friendship is honesty, and I disagreed with Sam. But it was her sister, and she knows her best. When the shower stopped running, Sam turned to hand gestures to communicate. Which is what she was doing when Ellie walked in. I chose not to lie to Ellie, so I stayed quiet.I watched as Ellie waited patiently for answers.

Ellie’s POV I wanted to know what Sam was hiding. But I was desperate for a shower. Before I headed upstairs, I asked Sam to get me a drink. As I washed the dirt off my body, I imagined the terrible things she was hiding from me. “Don’t think the worst. This is Sam you’re thinking of,” Kiki assured me. “You speak to her every day. How could she have gotten into that much trouble? Besides, I am confident Reagan wouldn’t let anything happen to her.” She said sloppily. I swear she meets a male wolf, and she has gone soft. But she was right, and I had to give Reagan the benefit of the doubt as he had brought her home safe. It will be something that Sam thinks will upset me. But it will be nothing. She probably knocked over a vase and got scolded by someone. As I got dressed, I questioned whether my pajamas were too revealing. But then I dismissed that idea, as Reagan had already seen me naked. What is more revealing than that? It was after midnight, and I was not used to being up this

  • Alpha's Betrayal, Luna's Revenge   Chapter 58

Ellie’s POV Reagan was a mess the last time I saw him. But now that he’s awake, I can’t help but notice his strong physique and handsome face. Kiki encouraged my train of thought as she remembered what his wolf looked like. When we were hiding in the bushes. I got up close to him and he smelled good. I could have stayed there for a long time just inhaling his scent. But then I opened my mouth.I don’t understand why I’m so mean to him every time we speak; I’m not mad at him. If anything, I am thankful Sam has someone to look out for her. But then that jealous emotion arises, because it should be me. I know I have a problem and Sam is to blame, but I can’t take it out on her. So I took it out on him.So when Reagan asked me what he had done, I told him the truth. It wasn’t anything he had done. I was just upset that the first shifter I had ever met, a person I had grown to love and called family. She had moved on with her life, and I was still here alone. I felt stupid after my outbur

  • Alpha's Betrayal, Luna's Revenge   Chapter 57

Reagan’s POV I watched as Ellie approached the male grizzly. She began stroking its head. It could wake at any time, and Ellie didn’t appear afraid; then again, she wasn’t afraid of it when it was awake. “Don’t worry, Daddy Bear. Your family is safe. They just need you to wake up and protect them.” She said it so gently that I was jealous. I stared in shock as she talked to it like a child. As she went to walk past me, she looked at my leg. Then she smiled at me. After being called a cripple earlier that day, I felt a little sensitive about it and moved my leg back a little. “That is so cool. It’s amazing what they can do these days,” Ellie told me. I was confused about how women saw my disability differently. “Ellie is so different from Lily,” I told Callan, who hadn’t once stopped panting whenever I looked at Ellie. “Not everyone thinks so. Some people are disgusted by it. Think I’m not a real man, or that Callan is not a real wolf.” I also know some people think my life is over

  • Alpha's Betrayal, Luna's Revenge   Chapter 56

Reagan’s POV Thankfully, Callan’s legs were slimmer, and his leg slid out of the sock when he shifted. I dragged myself to my prosthetic leg, which was on the ground among my ripped clothes. I smirked as I pushed and pulled the sock over my stump. I finally got to meet the famous Ellie in real life, and all I am wearing is a sock and a prosthetic. I’m sure there is a joke in there somewhere. I rushed over to Sam and Ellie. To see Sam holding her nose and Ellie stroking the bear cub, “You’re going to be okay now that Ellie is here.” She told him. Despite the blades of the trap piercing its leg, the bear was oddly asleep. I looked at my leg and couldn’t help but notice the similarity between what was happening here and what happened to me. The cub’s leg remained intact, whereas mine was immediately severed. For a short distance, I could see a naked Ellie stroking the cub. “There, there. Ellie will not hurt you or your family. Ellie only wants to help.” She told the cub as she rubbed

Reagan’s POV “Ellie wouldn’t burst through her door. I don’t know who that is, but it isn’t Ellie,” Sam said, rushing to find out who it was. But she didn’t get very far when a man wearing a police uniform opened the door separating us. His name tag read ‘John Simpson’. “Oh, thank God you’re here, Sam. Ellie needs these items, and I wouldn’t know where to look for them. I don't even know what some of them are,” he said, handing Sam a phone. Sam took it and began moving around the room, opening drawers and cupboards. Putting everything in a bag. “Where’s Ellie?” I asked John. He must have been with her, and he had left her somewhere. “We had reports that hunters were setting traps in the area,” I nodded in understanding. “It’s one thing to hunt an animal. But it’s another thing to capture an animal and kill it when it has no means to escape or no way to defend itself.” “That’s not hunting,” I told John. The thrill of the chase is the best part about hunting. That is Callan’s favo
