Chapter 62: Compliance

Zeeb clearly had a strong desire to probe deeper. It was evident he wasn't inclined to leave me alone.

"Hey, hold on, Alpha!" Zeeb shouted, struggling to catch his breath as he called out.

I ignored him, picking up my pace as I moved away from the corridor.

Arriving in the living room, I found myself unconsciously slowing down. My gaze was fixed ahead, intensified with determination.

I halted abruptly, waiting for Zeeb to catch up before speaking sharply. "Why are they present?"

My tone carried a chill, enough to make Zeeb visibly react without even looking at him.

Zeeb offered a forced smile, tilting his head. "I meant to inform you earlier, but it slipped my mind when I saw you."

Internally, I rolled my eyes at his excuse. It was evident his claim of forgetting was a fabrication. Zeeb was known for his professionalism and wouldn't easily forget such matters.

I scoffed inwardly, struggling to contain my rising anger. Keeping my gaze forward, I clenched my fists as I observed
