Chapter forty one
"You are going to do it, right?" Candice Blossom whispered from behind me causing a shiver to rush down my spine. This was not normal, I reminded myself as I turned to face the ghostly figure. The cracked red lips of the porcelain woman seemed to widen when we made eye contact.

"Olamide, we share the same body. You don't have to keep secrets from me as you do with your mate."
I gulped, hating that my body was not mine. It was weird acknowledging that no matter what I did, someone knew what I intended to do beforehand. "I don't owe you my honesty. Does this even seem normal to you? This is my body. Not yours. You had a chance at life and you wasted it murdering people to get what you want. That second chance you are furiously chasing after will not come from me, Candice."

OLAMIDE A soft gasp escaped my mouth as Sofiane tore away at the dirt making the earth bleed red. "What are you doing?" I questioned out loud. "What does it look like I'm doing?
