Kendrick and Rina stayed in their chambers that night. The room was quiet after a long day. The lamps gave a soft glow, and the air felt calm. Rina removed her cloak and placed it on the chair. Kendrick sat near the table for a moment, thinking. Rina noticed the look on his face and waited for him to speak.

After a short silence, Kendrick turned to her.

“I want to talk to you,” he said in a calm voice.

Rina nodded. “I am here,” she said. She walked closer and sat beside him on the bed.

Kendrick rested his hands on his knees. “I have been thinking about the Sauna Pack,” he said. “I want to open trade routes there.”

Rina listened with full attention. “Trade routes?” she asked. “You want to send goods back and forth?”

“Yes,” Kendrick said. “It may help both packs. It may also bring more stability.”

Rina nodded slowly. “That sounds good,” she said. “It sounds useful.”
