CELESTE'S POV

We all stared at each other at the same time, confusion in mine and Sam's eyes, while Victor's carried worry. Within the blink of an eye, Sam pushed Victor into the bookshelf and closed the wooden door.

He then, in the most casual way, walked to the door and pulled it open. Out there stood Elder Corwin and a few guards behind him. To say I was taken aback would be an understatement. What on earth was he doing here? Not like I know much about how packs are operated, but I know enough to understand that pack Elders aren't meant to be moving around with guards for whatever reason. They were called elders for a reason; they should be scarce.

"Corwin?" Sam gave him a once-over, sharing the same kind of surprise on his face. He seemed to want to ask "What are you doing here?" but somehow decided against it. Instead, he waited for Corwin to speak next.

"Well, look who is here? Who would have thought?" Corwin beamed, staring over Sam's shoulder into the room. I did not attem

  • Alpha's Cursed Twain   CHAPTER 191

CELESTE'S POVIt took a lot of willpower for me to turn around and leave Killian without giving in to anything. I wanted to hug him, to assure him that all would be well and that I would find a solution for him, but I didn't trust myself to keep Victor out of the story. The minute I began saying it, I just nodded curtly and walked out of the room without looking at his face again. Returning to the cabin proved to be more challenging than moving away from it. Now the pack was bustling with cars and werewolves, some in human forms while the majority freely moving around in their wolf forms. Although no one stopped me, I could feel the intense and curious gazes on every visible part of my body. They were staring and owning up to it even when I turned around to confirm. Which makes me wonder if I was wearing something that stood out oddly to them. But as I mentally ticked the boxes in my head, I realized my dressing was very normal. So what warranted the stares, I never found out. "You

CELESTE’S POV“Are you alright?” Sam’s voice brought me out of my trance-like state. The pain disappeared as fast as it came; it was almost like I imagined it. But I knew how I felt. I couldn't have possibly imagined that intense pain.“Yeah…..I just thought my birthmark itched.” I cleared my throat and continued what I was doing.“You have a birthmark?” He interrupted again, seeming excited by the idea.“Yes, I do. You have a problem with that?”“Not really. I just thought…..Can I have a look?”“Of course not.” I raise my head

  • Alpha's Cursed Twain    CHAPTER 189

CELESTE’S POVVictor informed us that his interest in history has led him to read books that have made mention of the moonstone and its power to initiate or destroy whatever it was directed at. Right there, Sam and I made our decision. We were going to take Victor back with us to the pack, and he was going to point out the books; that way, we would be able to figure out what the moonstone is and where we can find it. Victor, though, wasn’t particularly fond of the idea of going back to the pack. “You did promise you weren't going to drag me back.” He hesitantly looked between us after we announced our intentions to him. “No one promised you shit, get a move on, my brother’s life is hanging on your head. You caused this anyway.” Sam stated unapologetically. With a prick of annoyance, I twirled to face him. “I can’t believe you are saying this to him right now,” I whispered. “What? I am saying nothing but the absolute truth,” he defended himself, looking so unfazed. “If we aren't b

  • Alpha's Cursed Twain   CHAPTER 188

JEREMY'S POVI watched them step into our hideout, I heard everything they discussed and I watched how that fucker betrayed me in just a few minutes. He didn't even try to resist, not once did he. He simply asked for assurance and protection and just like that, he was following behind them, wiggling his tails like the fucking dog he was. Now I have to face the witches alone. Now I know I am on my own! And Sam? Wasn't he supposed to be working his way into the throne? What was his deal with suddenly wanting to help Killian out of his misery? Surely there must be something sinister going on behind the scenes. Sam just doesn't do stuff unless they are going to be of benefit to him in one way or another. They will learn the hard way not to trust him ever again. I scoffed as I increased my pace. Now that they have caught Victor, there is a high chance of his disclosing my identity to them. For the first time, I was grateful for the fact that I didn't tell him any of my plans. I am sure

  • Alpha's Cursed Twain   CHAPTER 187

CELESTE'S POV"H....how did you find us..." Victor was up on his feet in seconds, struggling between trying to find an escape route for himself since we were currently standing right in front of the door."Hello, old friend, I assumed you would be here. Thank you for making it so easy for me." Sam bowed sarcastically, the smile on his face anything but genuine."You should be warned, I am not alone here, you....you are currently surrounded by my partners, you should leave while you still have the chance, I am not going to repeat myself." He tried to threaten, but even he could tell his attempt was futile."Listen, Victor...." I sighed dismissively. "We are not here to ar
