CELESTE’S POV

Sam had no plan.

I didn’t say it to his face, but I knew, for the first time since I met him, that he had no idea what to do with the situation we had at hand.

We have agreed to take a break. It hurts me to even think of it, but as much as I hated it, it is the most logical thing to do. Step away from each other and the situation and take a moment to breathe a different air. Maybe that way, we would be able to come up with a better plan independently. At least that was what I made myself believe, while Sam was based on just taking a break after a long ride, coupled with restlessness.

I didn't sleep that night. I didn't even come close to lying on the bed for most part of the night. I wandered around my room aimlessly, trying to come up with a genuine plan of action that was actually practical.
