Chapter 96: : I Will Find You

Asher's POV

I was running so fast my heart would burst.

My wolf was crying out inside me, telling me to reach her earlier. Trees whizzed by in a blur. Blowing cold wind hit my face, but I didn't even feel it. My whole concentration was on Zarina—miserably injured, scared, and alone.

She'd spoken to me through the bond, but the voice had been so weak. That frightened me more than anything else. My strong, brave mate… sounding like she had nothing left in her.".

I ran. I did not stop. With every step, I prayed I was going in the right way.

My mind continued to go over and over herself:

Small house… window with bars… dirt and blood smells… trees all around…

It wasn't much, but it was what I had. My bond with her was a thousand times more than anything else. I felt her fear, her pain. It pulled on me like a rope tied around my waist.

And then, abruptly, I'd caught her scent in the air. It was faint but distinctive—lavender and something else sweeter, now mixe

Chapter 98: Fading StrengthZarina's POVI lay on the bed, knees folded up against my chest, as the stillness of our room wrapped itself around me. It had been days since Asher brought me back. I was safe. I was home. But deep inside me, something still did not feel like it should be.Sleep didn’t come easily. When it did, it brought with it shadows—dark dreams that left me breathless. I’d wake up gasping, drenched in sweat, my fingers gripping the blanket like it was the only thing holding me together.Tonight was no different.I had slept after midnight or something. Asher had stayed next to me, arm around my waist guardedly, as if he was afraid to let go. His breathing was even. His warmth comforted me.And then I saw it again. In my dream, I was standing in a mist-covered forest. I heard wolves howling in the distance. The wind was whispering my name. And then—I saw Asher. On his knees. Covered in blood. Stretching out for me with pain in his eyes.I woke up with a scream caught i

  • Alpha’s Deal: Be My Mate   The Night After

Chapter 97: The Night AfterZarina's POVThe moon was high above the clouds as Asher brought me into our home. His arms held me so tightly, it was as though he was scared that if he loosened them, I would vanish. I could feel his heart pounding against my side, and his scent—warm and reassuring—wrapped around me like a blanket. For the first time in what felt like forever, I was safe. My mind wasn't.He laid me gently on our bed and sat beside me, brushing my hair back from my face. “You’re home,” he whispered, as if saying the words out loud would make them more real. “You’re safe now, Zarina.”I attempted to speak, to thank him, to say how scared I had been… but my throat shut. I could only nod and take his hand. He squeezed it.Asher did not leave my side for the rest of the night. He sat beside me, his eyes barely straying from mine for more than a second. He brought me warm water, washed my face with a soft cloth, and helped me change into a clean shirt. All of these things, howe

  • Alpha’s Deal: Be My Mate   A Link

Chapter 95 : A Link Zarina's POV I was cold. And scared. I had no idea how long I was there. Maybe a day. Maybe more. There was no window. No light. Just the same stuffy darkness, the same quiet… unless you counted water. I heard it—the river that ran close by. That sound made me remember that I still existed, at least. The air reeked of mold. The walls were damp. My wrists ached from the ropes that had held me for so long. My belly growled, but I no longer cared. Hunger didn't matter. Anything didn't matter except getting away. Except finding Asher again. Holding my babies again. I had missed them so terribly. Their hugs. Their laughter. Even the idiotic things like wiping their face or smoothing their hair. I didn't even know if they were okay. Were they crying over me? Were they looking? Did Asher still believe I was alive? My heart tightened. I had almost lost hope… until I heard his voice. Asher He found me through the mind-link. When I heard him talk in my

  • Alpha’s Deal: Be My Mate   Where Is She

Chapter 95: Where Is She?Asher's POVI checked the time again. She was late.Zarina had said she would be back in a few hours. She told me not to worry. She said Cara had invited her to a small birthday party and all was well. She said she would be home before nightfall. But now it was past midnight. And she was still not home.I walked back and forth in the sitting room. My heart racing. Too quickly. I was attempting to tell myself that she could have stayed longer to be polite. Maybe she was just enjoying herself. Maybe they were talking. Maybe—No. Zarina would not do that. Not without telling me.I phoned her again. No answer.I phoned again. Straight to voicemail.A chill crept into my chest. My wolf shifted restlessly, growling. Something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong.I grabbed my phone and started calling everyone I could remember. Friends. Guards. Anyone who'd been at the party. Most were home already."Did you see Zarina?" I asked one of them."Yeah, she was the

  • Alpha’s Deal: Be My Mate   Escaped

Chapter 93: EscapedI smiled as I sat at the corner of the big hall, watching people laugh, dance, and eat. Cara's birthday party was more lively than I expected. Lively lights were all around, music was playing from one end of the room, and everyone seemed to be in good spirits. Even I had forgotten, for a moment, about all the issues waiting for me back home.Cara had welcomed me warmly when I got there. She hugged me, smiled big, and even introduced me to some unknown people. It was strange. But after what she did before, after everything, I thought maybe this was her way of apologizing once more. Maybe she was really changing.I did not want to believe that she was still scheming something wicked. She had fed me, talked kindly, and even made me feel safe. Maybe the tranquility could be forever. But my abdomen had started aching slightly, and I supposed that maybe I ate something wrong. I went upstairs and shuffled silently to the hall to find the bathroom. I didn't inform anyone.

  • Alpha’s Deal: Be My Mate   The Party Start

Chapter 92: The Party StartsZarina's POVI stood in front of the mirror, brushing my hair slowly. My hands were trembling slightly. I did not know why. Maybe it was the way Asher gazed at me when I told him that I was going to Cara's birthday party. His eyes were piercing, worried. He did not shout. He did not argue. But his silence said so much more than words could. She's up to something," he had told me earlier that day. "Zarina, I know she went to you as a friend. I know she apologized. But please… be careful. Don't trust her so easily."I had nodded, my hand over his. "I'll be careful. But I don't want to live in fear. Maybe she really means it this time. Maybe she's changing."He didn't complain, but I saw how his jaw clenched. I knew he didn't believe so.Still, I was already dressed. I wore a soft blue dress that flowed down to my ankles. There was something calming about it. Maybe because my mind had been anything but. I'd been fatigued lately. Weak. My head would spin somet

  • Alpha’s Deal: Be My Mate   The Warning

Chapter 91 : he WarningZarina's POVI was sitting in the pack living room, the soft hum of the house enveloping me, but my mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. It had been a day or two since Cara came by, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. Every time I thought about the way she'd looked at me, the way she'd apologized… it felt too good to be true. But maybe I was thinking too much. Maybe this was the start of something new. Maybe she was actually changing.Asher walked in through the door, his tired eyes scanning the room before they settled on me. I knew something was wrong — his jaw was tight, and his eyes had that glint, that edge, like he was hunting for something.“Zarina," he said, his voice low, warning already present in it. "I need to talk to you."I looked up from the book I had been pretending to read. My heart skipped a beat. "What is it?He crossed the room, his boots thudding on the wooden floor, and stood in front of me. He didn't sit down, just

Chapter 89 – The InvitationZarina's POVI wasn't feeling well that morning. My head was dizzily spinning a bit when I stood up from bed, and my stomach was. wrong. Not how you're ill as in how you dash for the bathroom but how something inside you just does not feel quite right. I sat on the edge of the bed, hands in my head, and breathed deeply. I thought maybe it was stress. Too much thinking. Too much crying. Too much aching in my chest about it all.Asher left early. I never asked where he was going. I knew he was trying to fix it all again, try to keep the pack together, try to protect me and the kids. That's all he ever did. And I loved it.But love couldn't stop the way I felt that morning. Hollow. Lost. Weary. But still I rose. I went to check on the kids, then cleaned the little sitting area by the rear of the house. I needed to move. To breathe. To keep going.I didn't expect I'd be seeing her again so soon. But then, just shy of noon, the front door softly knocked. I stiff
