10| Disappointment

Lucien's forehead remained crumpled like a rough sheet of paper as he awaited to be attacked. His claws were shaped and could cut deeper into any rogue that would come closer to him.

He counted to three, and at the last count, he jumped so high that he landed on the other side.

Still in his human form but with his eyes red, he remained on the soil like that of a wolf making one knee stay on the floor, and the other, he pushed backwards a bit.

Two came out, but they were completely turned into wolves. When they stared at the Alpha's eyes and perceived the dangerous aura of power emanating from him, they moved backwards a bit, hesitating to come closer to him.

Lucien remained still, waiting to be attacked by them, but they weren't coming closer. Just suddenly from behind, a rogue jumped and landed close to the Alpha.

Lucien looked at its eyes, and unlike the others, he saw defiance in its eyes.
