Scent

3rd Person's POV

"Come on! You're coming with me! Right now!! Into the mall!!" Adalyn screamed using the Alpha authority in her voice to try to move him but his uninterested eyes turned over to her.

"No!" He replied.

"You know, Mark and I are going on vacation for a month and I don't think I'm returning to the pack until maybe the following year" she said and it hit him, while she smirked knowingly.

Although, he wasn't not really a fan of fun and huggy-wuggy stuff, he really loved my family. Adalyn had left for the Venom Pack to be with her mate for 10 years and she only came for a week or two each year, this was the only period she was coming this year and she knew he would want to be with her.

His lips formed a thin line and he walked into the mall with her in front.

Dove POV

I and Sophia got down from the car and headed for the mall until we spotted a Rolls-Royce, I didn't even know what model it was but it looked amazing.

"Oh my God! Who the hell would leave something like this here?" I asked

"It's a freaking Rolls-Royce Sweptail!" She said

I walked up to it and handed Sophia my phone.

"Come on, take a pic for me" I said and stroke a pose, she took the pic and I ran towards the phone, "is it good?"

"Yeah, now my turn" she handed me her phone and ran over to take a pic too.

"I need to take more pics" I said and took some pictures before going in.

"Oh Soph, just got to tell ya, it's all on you" I said and she chuckled.

"Yeah"

We were at the makeup department and I was picking a color of lipstick when I met a fragrant scent.

Hmm, hot chocolate and cinnamon. Weird combination.

"What's that smell?" I asked Sophia

"Hmm?"

"That smell"

"What smell?"

"I thought I perceived something"

"Oh we're right next to the perfume section, you wanna get some?"

"Yeah, it smells amazing"

"You must have a good nose"

I stuffed the lipstick into my shopping cart and was about to head over to the pleasant scent when the scent came to me, I looked around trying to use my nose to find it when I met with the most gorgeous blue eyes and a broad figure.

"What are you waiting for Dove?" Sophia asked me but I was too caught up staring at his eyes, they were beautiful.

He moved closer and Sophia turned to him then to me.

"He looks hot", she whispered into my ear.

He inched closer again with his long legs until he was right in front of me and I could perceive that scent from him, it smells amazing. He was on a suit. He scanned me from head to toe and knit his brows.

Blue eyes looking like two liquid pools of flashing fire that I could stare into forever, carefully groomed dark hair that I imagined pushing my fingers into while his tongue explored my mouth...

Wait! What the hell am I thinking?

I can literally see my red and hot face as I turned away.

"Dove?!!" I heard that little witch from home's voice and I turned to see Emma and some of her friends, she walked up to me, oh no!!

I quickly turned away and started walking while Sophia followed from behind.

"Where are you going?" I could hear her footsteps following along with her friends but I hit a hard chest when I moved a step forward again and I got an idea.

I loosed the headband and my hair fall over my shoulders then I lowered my head letting my brunette hair fall over my face and increased the pitch of my voice.

I felt him take a sniff of my hair and place his hand on my waist. I stiffened.

She walked over to me and I looked down at her, "little kid, who are you looking for?" I asked and she was shocked by the sudden warmth in my voice.

She looked at the man who had sneaked his arm around my waist and looked back at me.

"Sorry, I thought you were someone else" she said and I nodded with a smile

"I get that all the time, it's alright", she walked away while murmuring

"Dove doesn't have those type of clothes and she isn't pretty anyways and she has some injuries on her face" she said and I almost moved forward to grab her hair.

I did! They were only hidden in the depths of my closet and I'm pretty, I get told about that everyday.

I still had my eyes on her when a pretty lady walked over to yell at the guy who still had his arm around me.

"Lexus! How dare you try to leave me here?! You're coming with me!" She said until her eyes fell on his arm around my waist and she frowned.

Was this his girlfriend? Oh my God! Did I just...

I immediately moved forward and his hands fell off my waist while she remained silent and went over to hold his arm and dragged him away.

I felt a pain in my chest seeing the way she held his arm and I wanted to go after them but I held myself back, I don't even know him.

"What was that?" Asked Sophia

"I was supposed to be at home right now and that was my little sister... She recognized me but I didn't want her to because she's annoying and she would want me to get some stuff for her" I lied through my teeth

"Let's just get want we want and leave" I said

"What about the perfume?" She asked

"Yeah let's go get that too" I said and headed to the perfume section.
