Chapter One Hundred One

AMELIA'S POV

I was back in the pack, the beautiful magneto color Penelope had used to decorate the hallway albeit, Max's scolding.

"Ma'am," Penelope called out, and I turned towards her. Brows raised and lips pursed.

"Where is he?" I asked.

"Uhmm." She began. "Uhm?" I continued, and she chuckled.

"Where is Max, Penelope?" I asked, a scowl appearing on my face.

"I'll get him instantly." She said and dashed out of the office.

I shrugged walking to the desk and sitting on it.

I felt relieved. Being here with Max and fighting everything head-on was good for me.

I would never forgive myself if something happened to Max and I wasn't there to prevent it.

"Baby." He called out, his voice coming out heavy and breathy.

"Did you run?" I asked, standing up from the chair.

He smiled, rounding the table and pulling me into a hug.

"Fuck! I missed you." He hissed, hugging me tighter. I smiled.

"Did you miss me?" I teased.

He pulled away, staring at me, and then pressed his mouth on mine.
