“I know you never cared about your mate Ellie, you wanted us to be together even though you knew we had a mate out there somewhere”
“My bad, but you stood me up and guessed who came running to my rescue? My mate” She said fisting her hands on the table “Thanks to you I met my mate and we are together now”
“You are not marked yet, Ellie you can’t possibly be thinking of going to him, it shows he does not care about you, Alpha Ezra does not deserve you, he is darkness and you are not”
Helen was getting angry that someone was insulting their mate “Enough Sebastian” Ellie warned
“You know its true Ellie, don’t turn blind eyes to the truth”
“Enough Sebastian!” Ellie yelled banging her hands on the table “I won’t be responsible for my next action if you don’t talking about my mate like that”
“This is not the Ellie I know of, what has he done to you?” Sebastian said standing up
Not to feel intimidated, Ellie stood up too “Good, you don’t know me at all, if you are done talking, you can leave” She pointed to the door
“Really? You are sending me out?” He looked surprised
“I am just tired of dealing with you right now” Ellie said looking at the person she once loved and adored
“I will leave for now but I’ll be back, think this through very well Ellie” He told her, held her gaze for some time before leaving.
Ellie collapsed in her chair while Dora and Loris rushed in, Ellie gave her friends a weak smile, her energy was drained already.
“Are you okay Ellie?” Loris asked
Ellie was tired of hearing that question and lying each time she was asked that question, before she could answer, Lucas entered.
“There is a messenger from the Crimson pack”
“WHAT?” Ellie yelled not believing her ears “From Crimson pack?”
“Yes Alpha” Lucas answered indifferently
“Where is the messenger?”
“In the waiting room with Steven”
“I… will be out” Ellie said
Lucas bowed and left to inform the messenger his Alpha will be out in no time.
“Why is today going this way?” Ellie asked no one in particular
“We are here with you, all the Way” Dora said
Ellie looked at her friends and smiled, she stood up “How do I look?”
“Bold”
“Super awesomely cool” Dora said with a big smile
Ellie smiled “Catch you ladies later” She said and left her office to face the unknown messenger.
“She’s strong for her age” Dora who was two years older than Ellie and Loris said
“You make her look old, we are only 21” Loris reminded Dora who shrugged
“She would need all the strength she can gather for the world unknown out there”
Loris frowned at Dora “You have started, you have that look again”
“What look?”
“You know the look”
“I don’t” Dora faced Loris
“Stop it, aww creepy” Loris made her escape with Dora laughing at her.
Ellie could smell the stranger scent, she knew he has not let his guard down yet, she wondered why her mate sent someone to her, was he pulling out of their deal? Is he rejecting her? “Helen what do you think?” She asked her wolf aloud
“I don’t know, we’ll find out soon enough” Helen replied, her voice a bit unstable
Ellie took a deep calming breath as she entered the waiting room, she was a bit amazed at the person in front of her, he was tall, handsome even with the scowl on his face, well built in the right places, he has a powerful aurora about him. He must be Alpha Ezra Beta or Gemma. When he saw Ellie he bowed a little, a sign of respect.
“Why are you here?” Ellie concluded not to beat around the bush this time
“Alpha Ezra wants you to take your position immediately” He also went straight to his message
“My position?” Ellie was confused
“To be his Luna”

“Who are you?” She needs to buy some time for hers to recollect her thoughts
“Ryder Toms, Beta of the Crimson pack”
She was right, he was a Beta, now back to the mean business “I need some time”
“I was told to inform you that you don’t need any” Ryder said
Lucas growled and Ryder's nose went up ready for a challenge, Ellie motioned for Lucas to calm down. Ellie walked closer to Ryder “Then tell your Alpha, if he wants me that badly to take my position as his Luna, he should come deliver his message himself if not, I'm not moving an inch from where I am”.
