The door clicked shut behind Jace.

Rayne didn’t move.

She stayed in the cooling water, arms tight around herself, breath trembling in her throat. Her mind spun too fast to keep up—racing through a thousand possibilities, every memory of every moment she could’ve slipped, could’ve been seen.

And now she had been.

Seen. Exposed. Vulnerable.

She hated that word.

It wasn’t supposed to be her. Vulnerable was weak. Vulnerable got you killed. She’d spent years becoming anything but that. She trained harder. Ran faster. Learned quicker. She broke herself into someone new—someone worthy.

And in two seconds, with one wrong lock and one dumb bath, it all unraveled.

She wanted to scream.

But she didn’t.

Instead, she stood. Toweled off. Dressed quickly in the spare uniform she always kept tucked away in the back cubby of the locker room.

Her hands trembled the entire time.

Not from fear—but from fury. From the ache of knowing she no longer had full control of the game she was playing.

His words filtered through the haze slowly, like she was hearing him from underwater.Rayne’s throat went dry. “Why are you telling me this?”Lucian’s eyes narrowed slightly, like he was asking himself the same thing.“Because even though you're mysterious. You’re good,” he said finally. “And I don’t like blind spots. Kade and Xavier? They don’t play fair. Watch your back.”Rayne nodded slowly, but she barely processed it.She couldn’t stop staring. At the water beading down his chest. At the scar slashing across his left shoulder. At the way his jaw flexed when he looked at her like that.Like he saw everything she was trying to hide.“You okay?” he asked, his voice suddenly softer, dipping into something unfamiliar.Rayne snapped out of it just enough to force a nod. “Yeah. Fine. Just tired.”Lucian didn’t move.He was still standing too damn close, his scent overwhelming, his gaze impossible to break from. And that soft thread of concern in his voice? That made it worse.Because it

The combat circle was drawn in the dirt—a boundary of power and pride.Rayne stepped into it slowly, her boots crunching against gravel. Kade was already waiting at the other end, bouncing on the balls of his feet like a predator hungry for the kill. She didn’t flinch. She couldn’t afford to.The eyes of the academy were on her. More importantly, Lucian Wolfe’s eyes were on her.And he didn’t look amused anymore.“First to yield or get knocked out,” the instructor reminded them with a sharp clap. “Begin!”Kade lunged, no hesitation.Rayne ducked just in time, his fist slicing the air above her. She spun low, keeping her movements precise, controlled. She could’ve struck back—could’ve ended this fast. But that would only raise more questions. She needed to hold her ground without giving herself away.Kade snarled, already annoyed by her evasion.“Stop dancing around, Valen!”He charged again, this time going low with a sweeping kick.Rayne jumped, twisted mid-air, and landed lightly on

Morning came too soon. The academy bell rang through the halls, signaling the start of training. Her first night was rough. She had barely slept, and it wasn’t the stiff academy mattress or the unfamiliar scent of the dorm—it was him.Lucian Wolfe. His presence across the room was impossible to ignore. Even in sleep, he carried an aura of quiet dominance, something primal and unrelenting. She turned onto her side, staring at the ceiling. This wasn’t just about surviving Blackmoon Academy anymore. She had to navigate Lucian’s presence without drawing attention. The last thing she needed was the strongest Alpha in the school noticing her.But fate wasn’t that kind.As Rayne rolled out of bed swiftly, expecting to have the room to herself. Instead, she found Lucian already awake, standing shirtless at the sink, splashing cold water onto his face. She paused. His reflection in the mirror was sharp, unreadable. Silver eyes met hers through the glass.“Morning, Valen.” His voice was rough w

Rayne moved through the stone corridors of Blackmoon Academy, feeling the weight of dozens of eyes on her. The scent of sweat, dominance, and untamed power filled the air as recruits—future Alphas—sized each other up, forming silent hierarchies of strength. She had expected attention after the fight. She just hadn’t expected his attention.Lucian Wolfe. His silver eyes had locked onto her with a hunter’s gaze, sharp and unrelenting, as if he could already sense that something about her was… wrong. She needed to stay out of his sight. To remain unnoticed. But fate, it seemed, had other plans.Recruits crowded around a large board in the center of the hall, where dorm assignments were listed. Rayne pushed through, scanning the names. Her stomach dropped.Rei Valen—Elite Wing, Room 11. Roommate: Lucian Wolfe. The paper blurred in her vision for a moment. She had wanted to prove herself. To show she belonged here. But sharing a room with the strongest Alpha in the academy? That was danger

  • Alpha's Hidden Luna   Chapter One: The Alpha’s Daughter in Disguise

The blade of the scissors gleamed under the dim candlelight.Rayne tightened her grip, staring at her reflection in the mirror. Her silver-blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders—her last tie to the girl she was supposed to be. The girl her father wanted to keep hidden, to protect. But she was done being protected. She clenched her jaw, her father’s words echoing in her mind."A female cannot lead. The pack would never follow you.""You’re not strong enough, Rayne. It’s not your place."Her chest ached with the memory. Not strong enough. She had spent years proving him wrong. Training harder than the boys. Learning every combat technique. Studying strategy, leadership, and warfare. And yet, none of it mattered because she was born a daughter instead of a son.Her father was growing older. The council was already preparing to choose her cousin—an arrogant, power-hungry fool—to take over the pack when the time came. And Rayne? She was expected to marry. To become some Alpha’s Luna, soft
