Clair’s POV

I was hurt, but I knew I had to run. The pain was so severe, spreading dangerously through my body, and I forced myself forward, my escape fueled by pure panic and the raw instinct to escape him.

I remembered that dark eye that had been on me earlier. He was obviously a PA or something like that, stalking me under his boss’s orders, probably watching every move I made.

“Do you need any help?”

A voice trailed from behind and my heart froze, terrified he had found me again. Reluctantly, I looked back and met the concerned eyes of a policeman.

“No, thank you,”

I said, continuing to limp toward home. I could always sneak in without Mum seeing me like this, and after cleaning my bruised knee, I would face her then.

“You sure? You’re walking strangely.”

His voice sounded eager, genuinely worried, but I didn’t need anyone’s attention right now. Not when trouble kept stalking my shadow.

“I tripped, but I’m fine.”

I responded, and he nodded, though his gaze

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    His Conditions , My Ruin

Clair’s POV Two long, exhausting, and breath stealing months. Every day felt like dragging my heart through a battlefield, working extra hours at the internship, taking night shifts at a restaurant when I could barely keep my eyes open, and keeping every dollar I earned in a small metal box I hid beneath my bed in the staff room. And finally, I had ten thousand dollars saved, that I earned with blistered hands, sleepless nights, and a stomach that had learned to survive on water and a few snacks.I remembered I had vowed to repay Sebastian with every penny I made, that very night he took my mother into his home. The way he had looked at me that night, like I was a puzzle he intended to solve. And even under his scrutinizing eyes, I made him the promise. And I intended to keep it.My phone buzzed suddenly while I was cleaning the supply closet at work. I didn’t expect to hear his voice. I hadn’t heard it since the night he drove away with my mother and told me, “I will keep her safe.

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    The Promise

Sebastian POV “You brought a human into the house?”Mother’s voice cut through the murmurs coming from the maids. She rose from her seat, her necklace clinking, disapproval gleaming in her eyes.“Yes, Mother.”My answer was flat and final.“She will be under my protection.”A laugh from Mother, soft and sharp, skated across the room.“Sebastian ,” Caro called, her voice a poison to my ears.“You know how much rumors spread. It’s improper bringing the weak here. We are not a refuge for…”“Silence,” I said. The room fell into the kind of silence that made everyone uneasy. I watched all of their faces soften. Mother and the maids, who read my temper like weather. None of them dared to argue further.Caro’s glare didn’t die. Instead, it hardened as she moved closer to me slowly with a gentle yet awkward smile.“You don’t need to involve yourself with the poor, Sebastian. You have alliances to maintain.”Her voice grew deeper. Of course, alliances, duty, politics. The words always sounded b

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    Tempted At Dawn

Clair’s POV The rain came down harder the moment I stepped out of the hospital. It wasn’t a gentle rain, it was cold, heavy, the kind that soaked straight through skin and bone. My thin jacket clung to my arms like wet paper as I hugged myself, trying not to shiver. It had been a long day since the rain had been falling nonstop, a long week at the hospital, watching my mother recover. The nurses had been kind, at least the ones who didn’t stare too long at my pathetic face. They said Mom could stay until tomorrow morning and be discharged, but after that I had to find another place for us, another miracle.I pushed the hospital door open a little wider, preparing myself to walk out into the storm, hoping maybe help could be waiting right for me outside, but I wasn’t motivated since I have never received help from anyone before. But maybe, just maybe, I could be lucky.A sleek black car waited directly opposite the hospital entrance, and not just any car, but his car.Of course he wou

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    The Tough Healer

Sebastian POV “Make sure she never enters here again.”My voice came out low and quiet, but sharp enough to slice through the noise of Newvile Club. One of the other clubhouse that belongs to me.“Yes, Alpha.”Shan muttered, his head low as he held the door open and I stepped outside slowly. The air slapped against my face, heavy and cold, and the clouds bloated with rain, drifted across the sky, thick as smoke. It would pour soon. I felt it in my bones, in the thick shift of the wind, and the quiet ache of my throbbing heart. And maybe, just maybe the rain would finally break her enough to come back to me, to open her eyes and ask me for the help she pretends she doesn’t need.“Drive to a corner,” I said as I opened the back door.“Yes, Alpha.” Nuel said, and immediately ignited the engine , he steered away from the club. Knowing exactly where to stop, an angled street where the tinted windows gave me a perfect view of the club entrance. And a perfect view of her.My hands tighten

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    Helplessly Alone

Clair’s POV "I wish I had a choice… but I don’t.”Miss Rebecca whispered the words with a tight expression, and I nodded, forcing a smile as I pushed my mum’s wheelchair forward. My fingers trembled when I accepted the two thousand dollars she handed me.“I’m sorry, Clair. I really am.”Her voice cracked as I walked away, the weight of hopelessness pressing on my chest. I had nowhere to go, no one left to ask for help.“Am I not trouble for you, Clair? My little gift “Mum’s voice broke into sobs. I wanted to tell her she wasn’t trouble, that she was in fact the only thing in this collapsing world that made sense to me. But the words jammed in my throat, choked by the pain I tried so hard to swallow. Instead, my facade shattered and I cried openly, letting the hot tears slip down my cheeks.Nora Whales used to work at the clubhouse with me. I remembered her once saying she lived alone. And If only she would just allow Mum to stay with her, it would be enough, more than enough.“Oh, C

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    Never Tell Me No

Sebastian POV“Clair.”I called her name, but she kept running, her small, fragile body darting toward the hillside like a frightened dove.“Don’t run from me,”I shouted, but she didn’t even glance back. She was still crying, I could smell it on the wind, and the sound of it tore through me, a pain sharper than swords, but all I needed was her trust, just a little faith, and I could finally tell her everything she deserves to know. She was close to her new home now. So I stopped several feet away and watching her, wondering how long she planned to run from me. How long she thought she could.“Where did you go this late, Clair?”The older human woman scolded her, her voice soft but trembling with worry.“I needed fresh air. I’m sorry I worried you,”Clair murmured, staring toward the hillside.I knew she couldn’t see me through the darkness, but I saw the way her shoulders shook. Her fear from earlier, when I took her from her room still clung to her, irritating my wolf. I deeply ache
