"What is going on?" I asked in frantic as I watched him hurriedly put on his clothes

"The king is dead" he stated without glancing at me, I frowned at his response.

"I know that. What does this mean?, what is going to happen now?" I asked in anticipation.

"War is coming" he replied, he comes over and place a kiss on my forehead "I have to call a few people , I will be back soon, take care of yourself— and my child" and like that he was out of the door.

Kaden did not come back to bed that night and I did not sleep either, I kept on turning and tossing while I was contemplating whether going to his office or not but I know he would be busy so I stopped myself.

At the break of dawn, I was up and quickly took my bath, my eyes landed on the mixture I had been using to hide my pregnancy and I took it and flushed the contents out, there would be no need of it anymore and there was not much content inside to begin with.
