ADRIA’S POV.

“We just need to get past them, and find the portal. They’re not that hard to outrun!” Lucien said, turning, and running.

“Alright!” I shouted back, as we ran hand in hand, from the mass of black scorpions.

They crawled over themselves, making strange clicking noises as they tumbled forth.

My heart was crazed. If they happened to catch up with us, we would get stung by almost all of them, and that would mean getting filled up with poison.

“Damn! I don’t think we can use our abilities!” Lucien shouted, and I realized we were running at the speed humans recognized as fast, but slow to Lycans and Vampires.

“Damn it!” I shouted, trying to run as fast, as I used to when I was with Derek.

“It doesn’t work. Don’t even bother.” He said, and I looked back at the scorpions, and screamed.

They were pouring over themselves, running to us.

“Shit!” Lucien suddenly exclaimed, and pushed us towards the left.
