"If you could kindly pay attention, Miss. Morris, I will be obliged," Professor Harrison's sarcastic remark startled Erica out of her reverie. She realised that many pairs of eyes were looking at her now, some irritated while some merely curious. She ducked her chin and mumbled, "Sorry, sir". 

Mr.Harrison shook his head in disapproval before continuing his lecture on the modernist poets. Erica twirled the pen as she went back to her train of thoughts. It had been a few days since her conversation with Jade. She had not met that woman after that day.
