36. Making fun of my kindness?

Alan's POV

A coppery shiver trailed down my neck, I saw my mate jump in another wolf's arms and squeeze him right under her hug as she sobbed near his neck.

"Jeremy, I can't believe you came for me. I.... I missed you so much. I really missed you!" Sudden dread and sense of coldness took over my body, I watched her with betrayed eyes as she sobbed in his arms.

"I was alone, Jeremy. I felt too lonely. I had no one to share my pain." Slow and shaky smile crept on my lips hearing her say that.

Was she making fun of my kindness?

I bloody had been here for more than two months with her. I left my pack, my people and the cubs who have seemingly come out of danger after a period of agonizing pain. Yet there she was saying that she was lonely.

"What took you so long, Jeremy? Say something. Please." She choked on her
