Lucien's POV

I woke up after dancing in a circle of bad dreams for what seemed like centuries. My body felt different from usual—heavier, there was a dull ache somewhere around my neck that made me wince at the slightest movement. The environment which had been blurry since the moment I opened my eyes slowly sharpened to to reveal an angelic figure hovering over me.

Beautiful hair, ethereal face, smooth skin even without feeling it.

"Lucien."
