Nightfall, A Long-Awaited Kiss

Author: Aurora
(Third Person's POV)

The setting sun cast long shadows across the manicured lawns of the Blackwood Ancestral Den as a sleek black SUV pulled into the circular driveway. The vehicle had barely stopped when the rear door flew open, and a small figure bounded out with characteristic energy.

Silverleaf Winters, her honey-brown hair bouncing in curls around her shoulders, clutched a brightly decorated cake box in her small hands. Behind her, Elara Thornwood emerged more gracefully, her eyes scanning the imposing façade of the den with undisguised wariness.

"Remember your manners," Elara reminded her granddaughter softly.

Silverleaf nodded impatiently, her amber eyes—so like her father's—wide with excitement. "I will, Grandmother. I just want to meet him!"

Aurora Winters appeared at the main entrance, her face alight with a joy that had been absent for three long years. Daniel peeked out from behind her legs, his smaller frame and hesitant posture a stark contrast to his twin sister's b

  • Alpha’s Regret After His Abandoned Luna Left   Confrontation at the Silver Pine Lodge

(Dominic's POV)The venison stew between us had grown cold, untouched and forgotten. I stared at Heather Reed across the table, her violet eyes reflecting the moonlight streaming through the window. My heart felt like it was being torn from my chest with every passing second."Are you really set on this mate-bond ceremony?" I finally asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Heather's face showed no hesitation. "Yes!" Then, with a politeness that cut deeper than any claw, she added, "You are welcome to attend."I looked at her gentle face, the curve of her lips that I'd once kissed countless times, and gritted my teeth to keep from howling my pain."Don't worry, I'll be there on time," I promised. The air between us was deathly still. The bowl of venison stew had long since stopped steaming. I couldn't bring myself to eat a single bite. How could I, when my entire world was crumbling around me?My mind drifted back to our early days together. Those first years were filled with mom

  • Alpha’s Regret After His Abandoned Luna Left   Bidding Wars and Broken Hearts

(Alexander's POV)A week passed in the blink of an eye. The Advanced Moon-Crystal Communication project finally released their shortlist, and as I expected, both Blackwood Pack Holdings and Cloud Peak Territory had made the cut, along with ten other packs. One moon cycle. That was all we had before the final bidding. Not a lot of time to prepare, but I was determined to make every moment count.I transformed our project team into a well-oiled machine. No detail was too small, no wolf was exempt from scrutiny. I demanded perfection, pushing everyone to their limits and beyond. The pack members began calling me "Shadow Alpha" again behind my back, but I didn't care. This wasn't just about winning a contract. This was about destroying Deputy Alpha Thorne and making him regret ever crossing the Blackwood Pack. For half a moon, I drove the team relentlessly. Early mornings, late nights. No excuses accepted. No weakness tolerated. Some of the weaker wolves cracked under the pressure. I

  • Alpha’s Regret After His Abandoned Luna Left   Reunion of Hearts

(Aurora's POV)Alexander's lips lingered on mine, sweet and intense. When we finally parted, he didn't release me. His arms remained wrapped tightly around my body, pulling me against his chest in an embrace filled with such longing that I felt my knees weaken.I stood there, trembling slightly in his arms, caught in a dreamlike trance. The reality of the moment slowly sank in – this was us, truly together at last. No more pretenses, no more hiding behind amnesia or pride. With a soft sigh, I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my cheek against his chest. The warmth between us melded through the thin layer of his ceremonial shirt, creating an intimate connection that only bonded mates could share. My honey-brown hair came loose from its careful arrangement, spilling over my shoulders and against Alexander's arms. He reached up with slightly clumsy yet tender fingers, gathering the strands and securing them with the leather tie I'd been using."There," he murmured, his ambe

  • Alpha’s Regret After His Abandoned Luna Left   Brothers United

(Alexander's POV)The morning light filtered through the tall windows of the senior pack council chamber at Blackwood Pack Holdings. I checked my watch—exactly 10 a.m. Eva had informed me that Aurora was ill and resting at home, which left the important council meeting in jeopardy.Through the glass doors, I could see several pack leaders already making motions to leave, their expressions revealing relief at the unexpected free time. One was checking his communication device for territory hunting reservations while another discussed tea plans.I nodded to Eva, who opened the doors and announced with clear authority, "Alpha Heir Blackwood has arrived."The room froze. Heads snapped toward the doorway where I stood with Dominic beside me. The casual conversations died instantly."Alpha Heir Blackwood," stammered one of the older pack leaders, quickly rising. "And Deputy Alpha Blackwood. What an unexpected pleasure."Another pack member hurriedly gestured to the main seat at the hea

  • Alpha’s Regret After His Abandoned Luna Left   Reunion Night and Impossible Choices

(Alexander's POV)I sat upright on the large resting couch, watching Aurora's face as realization dawned in her eyes. Her discovery of the fertility-blocking ritual authorization form had changed everything between us. I could no longer hide behind the facade of memory loss."How did you guess?" I asked gently, my amber eyes meeting hers.(Aurora's POV)I stared at Alexander, my lips trembling. The evidence was so clear now that I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it sooner."Because the Alexander Blackwood who had lost his memory would never seek out moonberry herbs to prevent conception, nor experience the pain of childbirth," I whispered. My voice caught as memories flooded through me. I remembered how I'd almost died giving birth to Silverleaf and Daniel. How Alexander had once knelt before Maya Gray, begging for my life. Then there was the vehicle collision at the territory border, and later, his terrible illness with the cerebral hematoma.I remembered bringing him home from

  • Alpha’s Regret After His Abandoned Luna Left   Recovered Memories

(Alexander's POV)The night wrapped around us like a protective cloak. Aurora's warm body nestled against mine, her breathing soft and rhythmic as she drifted between sleep and wakefulness. My fingers absently traced patterns on her bare shoulder, memorizing the feel of her skin.I reached for a wolfsbane-infused cigarette on the nightstand, then hesitated. Not tonight. Instead, I turned back to watch Aurora, taking in her features softened by moonlight streaming through the window. How strange life was. The bitterness of our past—my betrayal, her departure, our severed bond—all of it seemed distant now, like a territory storm viewed from inside a warm den. What we had now felt truer than anything before."I will repay all I owe you," I silently vowed, watching her eyelids flutter in near-sleep. "I'll cherish you for a lifetime, raise our pups together, and make sure you never regret choosing me again."My memories had fully returned, though I kept this revelation to myself. The f
