Elara was crumpled on the floor, blood trickling down her face in sharp crimson lines. Damon’s towering figure loomed above her, his dominance suffocating.

Luke, my wolf, pushed forward instantly. His growl was sharp in my chest, vibrating with anger. The tension in the air was thick, nearly unbearable, as my gaze locked onto Damon.

"Stop. " I demanded.

Damon turned, his hazel eyes narrowing with irritation. He pulled himself up straighter, his wolf quivering just under the surface.

"I’m handling things," he said arrogantly, his voice tight like he was barely suppressing his rage. "This is pack business."

"No," I said firmly, cutting him off. "This," I gestured toward Elara’s trembling form, "is not how we handle pack business."
