ELARA

There is someone out there after my life, someone I don’t even know. Kieran is the only person that can protect me from whoever it is, and to do that more efficiently, I have to be able to mind-link him. He has proven his love for me in a way that I never even expected, and that built my trust in him. Even if I didn’t want to join his pack before, I have to now. He doesn’t have to force me. I know that it is the best decision I can make for me and my children.

I suck in a sharp breath before murmuring, “Okay, Kieran. I’ll join your pack. I accept you as my Alpha.”

A small smile appears on his lips as he cups my face with his palms and kisses me quickly.

“I worried you’d reject my proposal,” he says, sighing as he pulls away from the kiss. He looks at me. “Are you ready?”

I bite my bottom lip and nod in response.

“I, Kieran Blackwood, Alpha of the Mountain Whisper Pack, ask you to rejoin my pack, to stand with us once again,” he says, his voice firm.

“I, Elara Whatever, accept

KIERANReid raises a brow. “What are you going to do there? Do you have any leads?” I have not updated him on what happened at the ball and what we saw. I clear my throat. “At the ball, Elara and I saw a tall, green-eyed man with brown hair. Just as the rogue had described.” “But he said that he only lied about that. That the mastermind isn’t even an Alpha,” Reid says. “I know. But what is the possibility that he isn’t lying again? What if he was actually telling the truth about the description and only lied to make us stop looking for that man?” I ask him with a raised brow. “That’s true.” He nods his head thoughtfully. “So, the green-eyed man, is he the Alpha of the Mountain Spring Pack? Tobias Grey?” I shake my head. “He isn’t an Alpha?” Reid asks, confused. “He is an Alpha. He is Tobias Grey’s son. I think the Alpha-in-line,” I tell him. “That is why I am going there to confirm if he is the mastermind or not.” “Has Elara see

KIERANI can't stop thinking about Marcel. The son of Alpha Tobias Grey. Alpha of the Mountain Spring Pack. His eyes are green, hair brown, and he's also tall. He fits the description the rogue had given prior to him confessing to everything being a trap. What if he wasn't lying about that? What if he only denied that before because they weren’t able to get to Elara? The thoughts of this fill my head, and I can’t stop thinking about going to the Mountain Spring Pack to see him again. I have to know the type of person he is. I might be wrong about it, but it’s better than not trying. Before I can stop myself, I pick up my phone from my office desk where I have been working for hours now, to call Alpha Tobias Grey. He picks up on the first ring. “Alpha Kieran. To whom do I owe this pleasure?” “There is something I would like to discuss with you, and I would like to pay you a visit,” I tell him, getting straight to the point. “That’s surprising. Is there any problem, Alpha?” he ask

KIERAN"Aria," Elara says breathlessly as the girl pokes her head inside. Aria and Adrien. I finally register their names. The girl gives her mom a scrutinizing look for a moment before finally responding. "Mom, why do you have a towel on? Do you want to take your bath?" Elara nods nervously. "With him?!" she exclaims in disbelief. "Adults cannot see each other's nudie!” "Uhm… I—no—I mean—" Elara stammers, unable to find the words to say. "No, Aria," I quickly say as I walk over to her and carry her in my arms. "I was just leaving. Let's give your mom some privacy." I glance at Elara and give her a small nod before leaving the bathroom with Aria. "What did Mommy say? I bet she agrees with me. Your fart smells like dirty socks," Adrien says and giggles as we walk into the room. She bursts into tears, her cries filling the room. "My fart doesn’t smell like dirty socks!" "Yes, it does," Adrien giggles. He is definitely enjoying making her cry. "Hey, come on, stop making your

KIERAN Rage boils within me as I hear those words. I am not mad at her. I am angry at myself for making her distrust me this much. If I hadn’t rejected and banished her six years ago, maybe our story would’ve been different. Maybe she wouldn’t have made the unknown enemy that desperately wants to take her life.“Yes. You caused this. You pushed our mate away from us!” Kai growls in my head. I sigh. “She is not our mate, Kai.” “She was six years ago before you decided to reject her!” he growls in response. It wasn’t intentional. If I could take back the hands of time, I would’ve trusted my mate over some pictures that turned out to be AI. Whoever misled me by sending those pictures—I will find them and kill them. I don’t even know who I will enjoy killing the most: the person who sent the pictures, or the person who is trying to kill her.“Kieran...” Elara places her hands on my chest, looking into my eyes with her teary ones. “This doesn’t mean I don’t care about you. I do, but..

  • Alpha’s Regret: Chasing His Rejected Luna   60| I can’t.

ELARA My children are alive and well. I can’t stop hugging them and plastering kisses all over their faces. They are my whole world. I don't think I will be able to carry on with life if I lost them. Isla and Evelyn are in the room with them. They still look shocked from the fear of being attacked. My babies are also scared. “Mommy, we were taken to a—a—safe room. Everyone was crying,” Aria says in a small voice. “It’s okay, baby...” I pull her even closer, rubbing her back gently. “You are safe now.” “We were very scared,” Adrien says. “I know, honey.” I caress his cheek gently, looking into his eyes. “I am sorry I wasn’t there with you. Everything is okay now.” “How was the Alpha Ball?” Isla’s voice suddenly seeps through my mind. I flick my gaze at her, replying through the mind-link. “You have accepted Kieran as your Alpha.” She nods. “Are you okay?” Oh, hell, I was not. My heart almost exploded on my way back, thinking about my babies. But now that I have seen th

KIERAN Rage vibrates through my chest as we rush to the car and ride back to the pack. I can’t remember the last time we had rogues attacking the pack. Knowing how strong and powerful this pack is, they’ve always been too scared to attack. Whoever this person is, he's really audacious, and I must find him and kill him. Before then, I’ll start by killing the motherfuckers he sent to attack my pack. Reid approaches the car as it comes to a stop. Elara and I quickly get off. “Where are my children?” Elara asks, her chest heaving up and down. She doesn’t even wait for a response before running into the pack house. “Are the kids safe?” I ask Reid. “Yes. They are,” he replies. “Any casualties from the pack?” I ask him as I start moving toward the dungeon. “No. We were able to swiftly take action and stop them before they even passed through the border,” he replies. “Very good,” I groan. When I get to the dungeon, I see about twenty rogues that have been captured, two in eac
