“Where are you?” I ask my Beta, Reid, as I walk out of the hospital and make my way back to the pack house.

“Just in front of your office.” He pauses for a second before exhaling. “You’re not here. Where are you?”

“Wait for me. I’ll be there soon,” I tell him before cutting off the mind link.

I had instructed him to go through Elara’s phone and retrieve her call history. I wanted a complete list of everyone she had spoken to in the last six months so I could begin investigating who the father of those kids is.

When I walk into my office, I find Reid seated on the couch, leaning back with his legs crossed.

“What do you have?” I ask as I take the papers he hands me.

“Nothing,” he replies with clear disappointment.

I scan the documents quickly, frustration building up in my chest. I specifically asked for records from the past six months, and instead, I’m staring at records from the past six years—barely even half a page. The only person she has ever contacted is someone named Is
