Chapter 125.

Author's POV.

Sophia watched the interaction from the top of the stairs with so much anticipation, she could already see how this would end and couldn't be more proud of herself that she carried out this mission without any scratch.

Not wanting to look like she had an ulterior motive, she waited for some minutes before coming into the kitchen to help her friend with her decision. The kind of person that Chloe was could end up changing her mind at the last minute and that would destroy everything she had worked for so long and she was going to take that chance with this woman in front of her.

"Why don't you drop it in already? I think this is the best time when nobody can point fingers at you and they wouldn't have to also serve him?" She's suggested.

Chloe was startled, causing the ceramic cup to crash to the ground as she tried to figure out what next.

"Oh, is that so?

"I believe that this is something completely different. I don't know why I am a litt

Chapter 126.Chloe's POV. I watched Liam rush out of the house the next morning, looking unkempt, before I could come out he had already swung out of the garage. "You don't need to worry about him, just need to intensify the dosage, and then you will see the effects already."I took a deep breath as I turned it to stare at my newly found friend who was a blessing in disguise. Sophia stood in front of me with a reassuring smile that had me thinking of something else entirely but focusing on the major reason I was here. I should have known that they would be a little hiccup and prepared for it so that I wouldn't get caught unaware. "Yeah, right. I shouldn't think that the staff should start working almost immediately right?" Even though I said the words that she wanted me to hear I couldn't help but feel disheartened deep down. "Oh, alright. I don't care about anything else but what we can achieve out of this. I've got more than enough reason to be angry or even thinking about how

Chapter 127. Author's POV. As soon as Sophia dropped the kids off at school, she didn't waste any more time in heading over to Mendy's house. She was supposed to be back in a few minutes and she as hell wanted everything to be done accordingly so she could get the hair out of this place and stop wasting her time and energy trying to figure out how she could please Mendy. Mendy had not given her the spare keys, which made her a little bit worried for herself. What if somebody found her lurking outside of a supposed foe's apartment. Then she would have to spend the whole time convincing everyone that she had absolutely no idea of what she was doing here even though it was a blatant lie. She picked up her phone and immediately reached out to Mendy. It wasn't supposed to take so long and she had been assured that there was a way she could get in without anyone finding out. Mendy picked up the next minute smiling when she saw her friend's call. She should have figured out that the

Mendy whined over the phone making me a little bit worried, even though I had a lot of things on my plate I wouldn't turn down her invitation for anything else in the world especially after sealing my deal with Brandon. There was absolutely no reason for me to be mad at her no matter how much Chloe tried, "I've just been very busy at work. I would reach out to you as soon as I am done. And then we can have a deal. I'm sure you would love that right?*"Well I don't know? Sometimes I feel like you don't want my company anymore and it is quite amazing how I have to do a lot of convincing just to get to you on my side. It was never like that in the beginning, what the hell happened?"Her accusation brought pain to my subconscious as I figured out that I had been a badly behaved love interest. It wo

Chapter 129. Two weeks later, Author's POV. Liam waited at the bench where he and Mendy had agreed to meet under a shade where no one would be able to trace them. It was time to take Aria and Asher to a place where they would forever be in Bliss and not the mess that they had gotten entangled in simply because of the kind of mother they had. It was a little bit secluded just like he had wanted and giving him the privacy to rethink the decision he had taken but at the same time also knocking it off the park. If anyone wanted to judge him they could go ahead. His phone rang, signaling that his ally had reached out to him. "So, what is all of this about? Do you really think that there would be any kind of disappointment whatsoever on the last day? Or do you really think that would be a time where I would lose the ability to come up with ingenious ideas?" Mendy asked in a coded manner. She couldn't just go straight to the point in case anyone was overhearing their conversation. "

Chapter 130.Chloe's POV.My heart was palpitating at this point as I watched the man who was supposed to act as a protector deny me. He was the one who was supposed to stop harm from coming to my children but instead he brought it to them. I didn't bother to go about my natural character which would have been to confront him and ask what I had ever done to warrant such treatments from somebody whom I had thought that I had a connection with only to find out that I have just been in a sham of a stupid marriage for so long. The betrayer was enough to send anyone into tears but I refused to allow that to be my disposition instead I focused on what I could do to effect a solution right away. Crying over spilt milk wasn't going to make things any easier, instead it was going to make me focus on my failures instead of battling with my strength. I had decided not to be in that kind of category anymore and even if it was going to take me blood, sweat and tears I was going to make a diffe

Chapter 131. Chloe's POV. "You've got to eat something. You can't keep moping around the house and giving them the luxury that they have broken you. You've got to find a will to live and that's why I came down." Bryan cut into my reverie as I looked around. I had lost it all, there was absolutely nothing anyone could say right now that would make me feel better because then I would only keep thinking about all the times that I had wasted, and all the times that I have lost my sense of who I was. I knew that I had lost it all and there was nothing anybody could say that could make things better. They didn't understand the gravity of watching your life crumble before your very eyes as everyone always tried to give advice. I watched Bryan and Sarah, his mate, stare at me like I was an alien. She opened her mouth immediately and smiled. "You stink. If you want to rise out of the ashes, you've got to pour some water over your body, no one wants to be associated with a loser. I don't

Chapter 132 Chloe POV. "What the hell do you mean by no? Have you got any idea of what this means?" "Nah, I already know what it means and I signed up for it. Please do not absolve me of my duty by trying to prove something. I honestly want this to become something that I do for my pack. It's not even what people call it." "The issue is that I cannot allow you to go through with it. I will do it in your stead." He offered and I shook my head. As much as I would have loved for somebody to take my fall, I was also wise to know that it would not build something great, instead it would only make his mate resentful of me and that was the last thing I wanted right now in my life. "If you are thinking of doing the merger, you've got to consider a lot of things and not just work according to your feelings. I don't know how people do things nowadays but I'm not going to subscribe to that." I shrugged, feeling no animosity inside of me as I figured that I had done a lot of things in the

Epilogue. Three years later. I stood in front of all the people that made mockery of me in the last few years and I came up with an idea that was going to yield a greater impact than whatever they decided to dump on me. It was going to take a long time before I finally gave up because now there was a reason for me to become Luna.Firstly, my eyes roamed about the crowd that had gathered one way or the other and I felt immensely proud of myself and my achievements. I had not wasted any time in making sure that this was completed and this made me very interested in whatever I could get. My eyes rested on my family which had come together after the first issue."Today we gathered together as a pack and celebrated the fact that we have only one person in our midst who has been wonderful through the beginning of time. We must have wronged her but she had never used this opportunity against us!" A moderator spoke on the platform, making me smile a little bit. Everyone's gaze was fille

Chapter 140.Author's POV.Liam didn't waste time to inform Mendy that there were a lot of things for them to do and they needed to do it as fast as possible. The only way they would be able to make a difference because if they were able to push Chloe away.Mendy hugged him tightly, planting a small kiss on his lips as everything she had ever wished for was falling into place in her very eyes. "If anyone had told me that I was going to experience this, I would never have believed it but, here I am with the most amazing man, who doesn't hesitate to do whatever I want. I think I'm the luckiest woman on Earth." Liam's feet tapped the ground in anger but he refused to allow himself to be mad at her. "Yeah, right." Scott and Ryan were already doing their thing, and it was up to him to have them get more answers. "So what do you want us to do? Do you want me to bring the kids over again or to kick Chloe out?" He asked in a somewhat weird voice. This was enough to sell the script that

Chapter 139. Author's POV. At Jax's pack, Jax walked out of his room with his head held high as he thought of the best way to humiliate the woman who had tried to make his life miserable. She had proven to be stubborn and he was going to love it when he broke her into pieces and made her forget the fact that she ever wanted to leave him. It was going to take a lot of mental stress, but what better way than to discover somebody who had wasted her time trying to fight for us, something that even she didn't understand. It was hard to say the least at least from the beginning but now that he had the upper hand, he was going to make it into whatever you wanted and hoped that she wouldn't come against him. "I hope you know that it's my birthday and you have to dance before everybody." He asked. Chloe looked up from the book she was reading. He had been kind enough to allow her access to books so that she wouldn't be bored out of her mind. He had claimed that this was the be

Chapter 138. Liam's POV. I jumped out of bed almost immediately as though somebody had pinched me. I looked around and found myself being alone in a room, wondering what the hell had happened and why I couldn't explain to anyone how I had felt. It was almost like I was telling a lie but I knew deep down that it wasn't. This was as real as possible. Something had changed inside of me. I looked at the teacup on my bed and smelt something weird. I picked it up immediately, inspecting the contents, and realizing it was just normal coffee, but something was highly different. The door opened immediately and I saw Bryan come in without my permission. "How are you feeling today?""When did you start being nice to me?" I demanded from him. "I think it has started to work and that's why you are trying to grasp why everything is upside down." "I still do not understand what you are talking about. I would love more context so that I have a perfect idea." I answered, a little bit worried

Chapter 137.Author's POV. One month later, Ryan and Lucy stood in front of the table in Liam's office this time fixated on him as they looked up and down coming up with nothing else but anger."What is the report from the people back there?""Everyone says that they have not been able to find her. In fact her scent is highly untraceable as everybody believes that she has probably decided to shield herself from the public. Are you sure she has been talking or this is just a way of getting her sanity back?" Lucy asked, a little worried but thinking of other possibilities. Chloe was a woman of many skills and sometimes she could deserve to come up with something but they wouldn't be able to comprehend. If that was the case, then they needed to be as careful as possible and not just Rush into conclusions like that. Liam came in just as they were having the conversation and was a little bit stifled even though he couldn't just ask how things had been going because of the bad relation

Chapter 136.Chloe's POV. Two weeks later, "There is only one place that I know that Mendy would never fail to take those kids to and that is back to Jax pack." Ryan's words rang in my head. It wasn't as simple as that because then I had so much to prove and I hoped that I was able to bring him back on track. I walked into a place that was formerly mine and my mouth fell wide open as I saw Sophia leaning on Jax's body stroking his chin softly. "What the hell is going on here?" I demanded angrily when I saw the way she continued even in my very presence without feeling like she had done something wrong. Sophia stood reluctantly, "I don't know why you are screaming. This is not your jurisdiction where you can do whatever you like so I would suggest that you tame your voice." My eyes widened at the second betrayal that I had received in the last few weeks. Why did everyone I trust turn on me so badly and make me feel like a fool? "You are not even sorry about your actions!" "Th

Chapter 135:Chloe's POV. After my brother collapsed on the ground, I had absolutely no choice but to think of what could be done next to ensure that I had everything back on track. Bryan attended a meeting that was supposed to help assist us on knowing how exactly to deal with my brother's case. Things were already getting out of hand and I didn't know how to handle it. Most importantly, I felt a little bit weird inside my bones as I was left with nothing but people just conversing and making mockery of me as I walked around the pack where I was once respected but now disgraced. My kids were still nowhere to be found and I felt like running mad but decided to hold myself together because if I did let myself go, how on earth was I supposed to get them back? That would simply be allowing Mendy to win and that was the last thing on my mind right now. All I needed was the faith that I was going to be able to overcome this without even batting an eyelid. "So, if I understand correc

Her sister would never have the Liberty to move around and to do whatever it is that it took unless it was time and that she gave the permission. "Have you any idea what it means, to lose everything that you have ever worked for? Do you know how problematic your world turns?" Aria asked Mendy whose mind was completely somewhere else and didn't even care for whatever the child must have been feeling. In her mind, she couldn't wait for the kids to realize that she didn't love them and put them under her bondage forever. "You shouldn't disturb me when I'm trying to meditate. You, of all people, know that, don't you?!" She snapped at them, making them recoil in shock. This was the first time that
