Chapter 99.

Chloe's POV.

I smelt victory deep inside my bones as I moved backwards and waited for some time before trying to move on.

The ability for me to always figure out the best way to handle situations or something that came easily to me and I didn't want to take that for granted.

Liam knocked on my door, with a small smile on his face which I didn't think was genuine but he was always doing everything just to make sure that everyone was satisfied.

Alpha Brandon had refused to leave and if I was going to be sincere with myself I was beginning to get tired of his presence not because of anything but because he was acting too pompous.

"I want you to organize a dinner that is going to act as alpha Brandon send forth. I don't want to see him around again. He is already getting on my last name and quite honestly I think everyone feels that way. Lia of all people had to complain." Liam said, shoving his hands into his pockets while staring at me.

You treated this woman with so much disgrace that you should be ashamed of yourself whenever it comes up yet you try to pass off the blame as if I am the one with the issue." Alpha Brandon kept on growling in such a way that I was a little bit embarrassed for myself. The fact that I had to be hearing such nonsense was enough to put me up completely but at the same time I maintained decorum pretending like everything was fine even though it wasn't."I don't want you to fight on my accord." I said to him, "I am not fighting on any accord, I am fighting for my right and no one is going to make me look like a fool simply because I'm doing what is right. If you do not want me to harass you then you should leave my wife the hell alone. That is simple as that, I have never seen where this is a prob

Chapter 101. Chloe's POV.My lips fell wide open as soon as he showed me a video of Brandon and I holding hands together and even going as far as locking lips. I could not imagine the horror “Don't even try to come up with excuses because now this is getting old and I'm already getting fed up with all the excuses I have to make for you every damn time. If you knew that you would not be able to be faithful to me, why the hell did you choose to marry me?”I recovered almost immediately from the shock because I figured out that he thought he was on to something correct but I needed to set the record straight. “Firstly I don't know who gave you such an impression and secondly whoever did that was just trying to breed contempt. That is all I can see concerning a video that you and I know is not real. Why would I want to cheat with somebody that is under your roof?” I asked incredulously. This has to be a prank and honestly I was a little bit worried that somebody was trying to play a f

Chapter 102.Chloe's POV. Heading towards the point where she could be could end up becoming a huge problem but at the same time, I wanted nothing more than to confront the woman who had made my life a living hell. This wasn't something that I wanted to joke about but at the same time I wanted to be careful so that I didn't make a huge mistake and a mess of the situation for it was going to bounce back on me and then it wouldn't be palatable. I kept my eyes focused on the prize. Lia fumed beside me, with eyes focused ahead as she read various emphasis on what she was going to do by the time she laid her hands on this woman. "Can we just be calm for a minute?" "No I cannot be calm especially when someone is trying to take advantage of you. Mendy needs to be confronted and that must be done immediately. I don't care whether or not she understands the gravity of what she's doing because it's all a way of escaping what should be a total punishment to her." "Yeah, of course, all I'm

Chapter 103.Chloe's POV. I barged into the house almost immediately, unable to look away from the chaos that had been done to my sister even though she was not the best person to me. I didn't think I had the ability to overlook and make sure that she encounters pain when I could be of help. It was something that I would never be a part of. Lia dragged me backwards but I yanked my hands out of her grip immediately. Mendy might be a menace, but didn't mean that I wanted her dead. I wanted to have a friendly discussion in my heart so that we could come to a mutual understanding as to why she had been nothing but a pest in my life. I knew that it was not going to be easy for me to do all of this but I wanted to try nonetheless. "Scott! You are not a murderer, let's take her to the pack clinic immediately!" I called and he jumped out of his skin. He looked at her unconscious body in shock that he had degenerated to being a monster. Scott wasn't somebody who was going to do somethi

Chapter 104. Chloe's POV. The dismissal was as evident as anything else in the world but I refused to think about it in such a manner instead I focused on what was more important to me which was to get him myself out of this mess. Since Liam had arrived a part of me wanted to wait to hear what the doctor had to say but self-preservation kept me. I moved away from where they stood, signaling to my brother who nodded in response and moved even further. I need to go pick up my kids from school and whip up dinner.I wasn't going to allow myself to be pressured by him or anyone else. I needed to investigate my sister, but the only way to do this was to go to her house in her absence. So I took a detour, this was the best time to figure out whatever I needed. If I didn't move right now I was going to regret it for the rest of my life. As soon as I went to her house, I looked front and back just to be sure that no one saw me enter because if they did then it was going to become a pro

It wasn't because I didn't want to be found instead I just felt like that will be the best way to know who exactly was out for us The voice came closer while I shut her door, also walking stealthy towards it. "Mehndi has been here for a long time and it is time for us to collect our deals. She can't keep playing us like a fiddle. If no one wants to discuss this then I am ready. How long is she going to take us for a ride?" I cocked my head sideways to understand what these people were about. It was evident that they were mad at something. I just didn't know what exactly and most importantly I was feeling a little bit weird, if there was a reason I needed to be fast at ensuring that absolutely no one had their hands on us. My major motivation for whatever I was doing was simply because I knew that I had a lot of work and uncovering what could be something that I could use ag

Chapter 106. Liam's POV. I watched Mendy flicker in and out of consciousness as she tried to grasp on what was reality but lost. "If there was something that I had your opportunity to do, it would be bringing her to life and giving her sound rest. She has been stressed for so long and I think she deserves to be in a safe space where she doesn't have to look over her shoulders." The doctor called from beside her bed. It was a lot more stressful than I thought it was going to be because Mendy looked like she was about to jump out of her skin, thrashing violently. The amount of problems that these frequent attacks were causing to my mental health was getting out of hand. I didn't know why Chloe of all people was so invested in making sure that I missed out on a lot of good things. I knew it was kind of a partial obsession just to get back at me but at some point it was bound to get tiring wasn't it? It was a little bit challenging because both of them were on different sizes of the house trying to figure out the best way to attack the other. Chloe was more in tune with her defensive mode, picking up a bat that she found behind the door and raising it in the air, hoping to crash it on whoever was concerned. It wasn't also news that she was trying as much as possible not to do something that would lead into a problem but at the end of the day ended up failing short. They opened the door at the same time and she screamed when she saw the person. It was James, one of the men who worked in the stables. She would never have imagined that he was even remotely close to her sister. James skidded to a halt, dropping the wooden stick he had picked up. Epilogue. Three years later. I stood in front of all the people that made mockery of me in the last few years and I came up with an idea that was going to yield a greater impact than whatever they decided to dump on me. It was going to take a long time before I finally gave up because now there was a reason for me to become Luna.Firstly, my eyes roamed about the crowd that had gathered one way or the other and I felt immensely proud of myself and my achievements. I had not wasted any time in making sure that this was completed and this made me very interested in whatever I could get. My eyes rested on my family which had come together after the first issue."Today we gathered together as a pack and celebrated the fact that we have only one person in our midst who has been wonderful through the beginning of time. We must have wronged her but she had never used this opportunity against us!" A moderator spoke on the platform, making me smile a little bit. Everyone's gaze was fille

Chapter 140.Author's POV.Liam didn't waste time to inform Mendy that there were a lot of things for them to do and they needed to do it as fast as possible. The only way they would be able to make a difference because if they were able to push Chloe away.Mendy hugged him tightly, planting a small kiss on his lips as everything she had ever wished for was falling into place in her very eyes. "If anyone had told me that I was going to experience this, I would never have believed it but, here I am with the most amazing man, who doesn't hesitate to do whatever I want. I think I'm the luckiest woman on Earth." Liam's feet tapped the ground in anger but he refused to allow himself to be mad at her. "Yeah, right." Scott and Ryan were already doing their thing, and it was up to him to have them get more answers. "So what do you want us to do? Do you want me to bring the kids over again or to kick Chloe out?" He asked in a somewhat weird voice. This was enough to sell the script that

Chapter 139. Author's POV. At Jax's pack, Jax walked out of his room with his head held high as he thought of the best way to humiliate the woman who had tried to make his life miserable. She had proven to be stubborn and he was going to love it when he broke her into pieces and made her forget the fact that she ever wanted to leave him. It was going to take a lot of mental stress, but what better way than to discover somebody who had wasted her time trying to fight for us, something that even she didn't understand. It was hard to say the least at least from the beginning but now that he had the upper hand, he was going to make it into whatever you wanted and hoped that she wouldn't come against him. "I hope you know that it's my birthday and you have to dance before everybody." He asked. Chloe looked up from the book she was reading. He had been kind enough to allow her access to books so that she wouldn't be bored out of her mind. He had claimed that this was the be

Chapter 138. Liam's POV. I jumped out of bed almost immediately as though somebody had pinched me. I looked around and found myself being alone in a room, wondering what the hell had happened and why I couldn't explain to anyone how I had felt. It was almost like I was telling a lie but I knew deep down that it wasn't. This was as real as possible. Something had changed inside of me. I looked at the teacup on my bed and smelt something weird. I picked it up immediately, inspecting the contents, and realizing it was just normal coffee, but something was highly different. The door opened immediately and I saw Bryan come in without my permission. "How are you feeling today?""When did you start being nice to me?" I demanded from him. "I think it has started to work and that's why you are trying to grasp why everything is upside down." "I still do not understand what you are talking about. I would love more context so that I have a perfect idea." I answered, a little bit worried

Chapter 137.Author's POV. One month later, Ryan and Lucy stood in front of the table in Liam's office this time fixated on him as they looked up and down coming up with nothing else but anger."What is the report from the people back there?""Everyone says that they have not been able to find her. In fact her scent is highly untraceable as everybody believes that she has probably decided to shield herself from the public. Are you sure she has been talking or this is just a way of getting her sanity back?" Lucy asked, a little worried but thinking of other possibilities. Chloe was a woman of many skills and sometimes she could deserve to come up with something but they wouldn't be able to comprehend. If that was the case, then they needed to be as careful as possible and not just Rush into conclusions like that. Liam came in just as they were having the conversation and was a little bit stifled even though he couldn't just ask how things had been going because of the bad relation

Chapter 136.Chloe's POV. Two weeks later, "There is only one place that I know that Mendy would never fail to take those kids to and that is back to Jax pack." Ryan's words rang in my head. It wasn't as simple as that because then I had so much to prove and I hoped that I was able to bring him back on track. I walked into a place that was formerly mine and my mouth fell wide open as I saw Sophia leaning on Jax's body stroking his chin softly. "What the hell is going on here?" I demanded angrily when I saw the way she continued even in my very presence without feeling like she had done something wrong. Sophia stood reluctantly, "I don't know why you are screaming. This is not your jurisdiction where you can do whatever you like so I would suggest that you tame your voice." My eyes widened at the second betrayal that I had received in the last few weeks. Why did everyone I trust turn on me so badly and make me feel like a fool? "You are not even sorry about your actions!" "Th

Chapter 135:Chloe's POV. After my brother collapsed on the ground, I had absolutely no choice but to think of what could be done next to ensure that I had everything back on track. Bryan attended a meeting that was supposed to help assist us on knowing how exactly to deal with my brother's case. Things were already getting out of hand and I didn't know how to handle it. Most importantly, I felt a little bit weird inside my bones as I was left with nothing but people just conversing and making mockery of me as I walked around the pack where I was once respected but now disgraced. My kids were still nowhere to be found and I felt like running mad but decided to hold myself together because if I did let myself go, how on earth was I supposed to get them back? That would simply be allowing Mendy to win and that was the last thing on my mind right now. All I needed was the faith that I was going to be able to overcome this without even batting an eyelid. "So, if I understand correc

134.Author's POV. Mehndi shook her head immediately when she heard those words come out of her younger sister's mouth. Of course, she was going to act like she was powerful, but she knew deep down that this lady feared for her life, and that was exactly what she was about to capitalize on. Her sister would never have the Liberty to move around and to do whatever it is that it took unless it was time and that she gave the permission. "Have you any idea what it means, to lose everything that you have ever worked for? Do you know how problematic your world turns?" Aria asked Mendy whose mind was completely somewhere else and didn't even care for whatever the child must have been feeling. In her mind, she couldn't wait for the kids to realize that she didn't love them and put them under her bondage forever. "You shouldn't disturb me when I'm trying to meditate. You, of all people, know that, don't you?!" She snapped at them, making them recoil in shock. This was the first time that

133.Chloe's POV. I was a little bit worried for my brother who had been doing a lot of work behind the scenes and had not been receiving any glory whatsoever. If there was anybody that I wanted to praise right now in my life, it had to be him, and I wasn't even ready to do anything besides just relax and wait and see what could be done. I had more than enough reason to be afraid when he grabbed the railing and immediately began to tremble like he had been struck by lightning. Someone else might think that I was exaggerating, but that was how I felt at that moment. I had more than enough reason to also fear my life when he came close to me and looked like he was about to give the ghost. My brother was the most precious thing in my life right now and I didn't think that I was going to change that for the world. I have more than enough reason to also relax and hope that the best came to me but I knew deep down that he was trying his best just to make sure that I enjoyed the fines
