Chapter 23: Raw Pain

TYLER:

Karen and I got to the party. As much as I hated to admit it, Karen was really good at convincing me and making me do things under my own will, but not like Emily.

Everyday, I reminded myself about Emily, and I felt like it was the pain I had to go through for giving her up first.

While Karen and I were waiting outside, my best friend Killian approached me, and seeing him once again, I let out a smile.

"Hey man.* He greeted me first. My gaze diverted to the damsel he was holding, and I let out a smile.

"Tyler, this is Caroline, my Luna."

I outstretched my hands towards her and shook her. Karen, who was standing by my side, also did the same thing. Seeing the perfect relationship Killian and Caroline shared, I envied them.

Killian always envied me in the past while Emily and I were still dating, and he always made it clear that he wanted a love just like the one Emily and I shared.

"How long has it been? You haven't changed a bit Tyler."
