“Sometimes, Apollo teaches football to the young kids!” Nicole said. “Oh shit!” she cried. “He is coming this way. Run and hide!”

I managed to look behind and saw that Apollo was coming this way. The crowd parted for him as it fell into a stunning silence.

“Run Lisa!” she urged. “

I ran as fast as I could, but I was slower. Apollo came to us soon enough and blocked us from running. He stood right in front of me and my eyes zeroed in on his yummy cleft. He stared at me with cold eyes and the moment my gaze shifted to his eyes, I was terrified. My mind goaded me to run away from him. I had to hide. I couldn’t afford to expose myself.

With his eyes fixed on me and without looking at Nicole, he hissed an order to her. “Leave.”

Nicole’s blood drained from her face. She lowered her head as her body trembled like a leaf and she walked away. I too wanted to follow but before I could do that, his hand came around my throat and gripped me hard. He pushed me against a door as I grabbed his wrist with both my hands. He looked so aggressive and murderous that I was petrified. He released his aura and I winced. Tears trickled down my eyes as I stared at his face. The same face that I had admired last night was so cruel right now. I should have known that he was someone I shouldn't have never ventured out with. And now everyone at school was watching us.

“What are you doing?” I spluttered.

He leaned over my ear and growled, “I am going to ruin you so badly that you won't ever recover!”

Stunned at his words, I didn’t know what crime I committed that he sealed my fate this way. His grip was tightening around my throat as his fangs descended. Suddenly, a hand tapped over his shoulder.

“Apollo,” a soft voice came from behind him. “She is nobody. Leave her.”

I spluttered and coughed when he left my neck after a few moments. Beside him, I saw a tall, slender girl with light brown curls with sharp features. She was looking down upon me. She tugged Apollo’s sleeves and pulled him away. I leaned my back against the door as I watched the two walk away hand in hand. Apollo glanced over his shoulder to glare menacingly at me. I sucked in a sharp breath as I returned the glare. I just couldn’t understand his complete reversal of attitude. He was absolutely, utterly, bitterly crazy!

When I rose on my wobbly knees, I saw people trying to get away from me as far as possible. Nicole came running to me from somewhere. She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the class. “I am so sorry!” she said in a breathy voice. “We shouldn’t have gone to the football field.” I was unable to comment after the whole incident.

When we reached our class, I took a deep sigh of relief. “It wasn’t your fault. You can't do anything about bullies.” But the moment I took another step inside, I bumped into a frozen Nicole. I followed her line of vision and saw that she was staring at Artemis, Duncan and Gilbert. Gathered at the back of the classroom, they were joking with… Apollo. He was sitting over a table like a king, with the girl who removed her from me, her elbow resting on his shoulder possessively.

Stunned, I too froze for a moment. Then I caught Nicole’s upper arm and said, “Don’t you let them get you, okay?” Even though I was reduced to smithereens, I pulled myself up and we walked in the classroom to the only two remaining seats in the last.

As I walked, I couldn’t help glancing at him and found him staring at me with a dark gaze. Why was he here when he wasn’t a student? The girl with him appeared to be his girlfriend. Then why was he alone last night with me? Nothing looked simple. We were just two rows behind them.

“Ignore them, Lisa,” Nicole whispered, leaning towards me. “If you react, they will come at you.” So, I focused on my bag and tables.

“Some girls just try too hard to grab attention,” smirked his girlfriend.

Duncan laughed. “Come on Rita. You don’t have any competition. Besides, Lisa is new and not as beautiful as you.”

Rita’s two friends giggled at Duncan's remark. Artemis snorted while Gilbert appeared least interested.

Apollo’s eyes narrowed. “Who is Lisa?” he asked.

Duncan pointed with his thumb over his shoulder. “The new girl. She’s here only for a year.”

My heart stuttered to a stop, knowing that Apollo would bust my identity. I cursed myself on the inside for letting myself slip that one time. My gaze snapped to Apollo. He was least interested in the conversation and was watching me like a hawk. Bring it on, bastard. I had his dirty little secret too. If he revealed my real name, I would talk about his shenanigans to his girlfriend.

For a long time, as our gazes met, the world around us faded. I didn’t realize when he came right in front of my table. He leaned over and pressed his palms over the table. With his biceps bulging, he said, “Liar.”

I seethed. “Two-timer.”

A muscle feathered in his jaw and his hand grabbed my jaws so tightly that they pained. “You and I have unfinished business!”

Nicole got up from the side. “Please Apollo, leave her. I will make sure that she doesn’t come in front of you ever again.”

“Mr. Apollo de Vries,” a steady voice came from somewhere.

He snarled, and I could see his fangs lengthening.

“You need to leave so that we may start the class,” said Mr. Adam, our class teacher.

He shoved my jaws back and left in a huff leaving me shaking like a dry leaf in the summer breeze. He was a bloody dark bastard with a devil's soul.

His girlfriend, Rita, gave me a withering glance before settling down with her minions beside her. Why was it that luck was not on my side ever since I was born? Artemis sat right in front of me along with Duncan and Gilbert. And I knew that the remaining days of my high school were screwed.

I’m only assuming he’s so upset because she’s his mate but he doesn’t know for sure yet because she doesn’t have her wolf yet? Otherwise I’m not sure why he’s so upset with her. Make it make sense!

Why is Apollo so angry at Natasha/Lisa?? It can't be that she left while he was sleeping... What is it? I hope there's some sense into it!

  • Alpha's Rogue Mate   Natasha

It had been a month since Apollo had become the Alpha of the pack. He was extremely busy with the pack activities. Taking over was a massive task. With Artemis as his Beta, they had so many things to look into that a day seemed to stretch for twenty-eight hours. And in that time, I saw Apollo only during nights when he would come back home, exhausted and grumpy. He would not let me and Lucas go out of sight until he slept. I could understand the pressure he was having. The positions of The Head Tracker, Head Enforcer of arms were still vacant and he had to fill them soon. Kirill had informed me that Ivan died that night when the attack took place. It was said that he was in his room while the whole carnage took place on the outside, watching his mate, Dahlia. When they forced open his room, he shot himself in the head, his last words being, “I love you, Dahlia.” I mourned my father’s death even though he had been a monster to me. As the days passed, I realized that he was missing m

When we reached the Black Moon pack, it was past midnight. Luna Mira had come to the airport. I could sense that she wasn’t alone. The whole pack was with her. I could hear wolves howling in the background. The news that Alpha Jacob had died came faster than us. I clutched Lucas in my arms as Apollo curled his arm around my shoulders and took us out. I came to stand in front of Luna Mira and even though I had coined the words of apology a hundred times in the airplane, I simply couldn’t utter a word in front of her. My throat was choked with emotions, as guilt weighed me down. Because of me, she had lost a lot. She was on the verge of losing her son, but Alpha Jacob went and got him back. And now Alpha Jacob went to recover me. His sacrifice was greatest. He was an alpha wolf who protected his family till he breathed his last. I guess the day I came into the Vries family, the day I was wedded to Apollo, he had accepted me as a part of the Black Moon pack in his own way. Luna Mira s

“Olga?” My whole body jolted in shock and I sat upright. “What the hell? Are you sure? How can that be? God, I had so many questions!” “Shocking,” he replied and to my frustration, Apollo just smiled. He crossed his arms beneath his head and settled on the pillow cozily. “You always have questions.” Shooting him a glare he was used to, I said, “How did Kirill take it?” “Obviously, he took it badly. But I was ready. Nash gave me video evidence of how Olga came to him to give Ivan’s names to the authorities. At that time, he was already with my father and going against Ivan. Olga became furious but she never asked Nash to not go against Ivan. In fact, she gave him some of his secrets and what would be the best way to take him down.” If the revelation that Olga betrayed my father had shocked me, all this information punched the air out of me. “Olga was always my nanny. She loved my parents and she was very protective about me. I never saw her leaving me, except when she went for he

I saw two wolves—a giant black one and a massive gray one, heading in our direction. They were both heading in our direction with ferocious snarls. Snow had started drifting around us and I knew that we had to find a cover before the cold affected my son. Kirill yanked me in the shadows of the naked pines as those wolves slowly came towards us, snarling menacingly. They stopped about thirty feet away and I picked up the familiar scent. “Apollo? Artemis?” “That’s them! Come on.” Stunned, I couldn’t even breathe as Kirill tried to drag me to them. As soon as Apollo saw us, he dashed through the snow to us, yapping and nipping and swishing his tail. I sank on my knees, not able to bear the shock of seeing my mate after such a long time. Apollo licked me and then his son who giggled. My eyes flooded with tears and my mouth was like a cotton ball on a cactus. I had been riddled with so many dreams of this meeting that it looked surreal to me. I threaded my fingers in his fur and brou

Natasha POV A rough calloused hand over my mouth woke me up in the middle of the night. Panicked, a scream surged through me which was smothered into the palm. A face leaned over me with wide eyes. He placed his finger over his lips. “Shhh!” Throat dry as a desert, I blinked my gummy eyes to see who was it through the darkness. Kirill was hovering over me. “If you promise to stay quiet, I will pull my hand away.” I nodded as I stared into his hazel eyes. “Kirill?” I gulped my panic down with some saliva to wet my dry throat. “What is going on? What are you doing here?” “We are under attack from rival rogues.” There was commotion on the outside. Red and blue lights flashed through the gaps of the curtains. My heart leapt out as I jerked to a sitting position. I whipped my head to Lucas who was still sleeping soundly in his cradle. Kirill raked his fingers through his hair looking perturbed. “We thought it was a plain police attack, but these are hardcore rogues. They are t

  • Alpha's Rogue Mate   Apollo

Apollo POVTwo months. It had been two months since Natasha had left with Lucas. I had become like a shell. I had stopped eating and looked so gaunt that my mother winced when she glanced at me. I knew that she would cry in silence seeing my condition. No mate should be treated like this. We had had numerous arguments over how much she had warned me against Natasha and that I should have rejected her. Every fucking time I would stomp out of the house and find myself in the bar where I had met Natasha for the first time. I would drink until I could no longer think and then had to be brought home. Each time it would be Artemis who would bring me home. He would mumble curses under his breath and I would chuckle and tell him never to leave his mate. I had stopped going to the office, stopped meeting people and had withdrawn into a cocoon. My father had not moved an inch when Natasha called for help because he had to protect his people. And Natasha? My little mate? She sacrificed herself
