"I'm saying... I'm saying, between me, you and the gate post, the first born might be wolf less.", Martin's grey uttered out finally after much complications he had within him.
There was a moment stunned silence, a defeaning silence which struck the entire room.
"Might!.... Might.. I said might", Martins Grey said scratching his head and looking to another direction quickly like the winds.
It was conspicuous, very noticable, the clock which hung beautifully on the wall suddenly began to tick loudly, the soft gentle winds which blew through the tight curtains could be heard, the whistling sound was audible enough, Martin's unsteady eyes were moving restlessly from viewing the black smart shoe he wore, to the glass which was in Richard's hands to Richard's face.
The look on Richard's face terrified him so bad, he threw his looks away from Richard's face to the curtains and back again to the table which separated him from Alpha Richard
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!", Richard roared, laughing very loudly in his deeply masculine voice.
His laughter echoed through the entire house, the strength in his voice was just enough to move little objects if checked and observed properly.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!", Martins nervousness forced him to laugh in unison with Alpha Richard.
"Why are we laughing?", Martins asked aloud Midway into the laughter.
For once in his life, he never considered himself to be jester, neither did he earn a master degree in comedy and stress relieve, so what sounded funny?
"Ha! Ha! Ha! You're a funny man Martins Grey", Alpha Richard spoke out as he finally took a sip from the glass of wine in his hands which lingered for long.
"I am?", Martins Grey asked ignorantly scratching his head and looking at Richard who felt comfortable in his soft couch.
His heart was pounding faster than it was supposed to be, his ears were occupied with the sound of his heartbeat, and all his nervousness and fear was successfully rekindled.
Looking at Alpha Richard who sat just right opposite to him, he was so relaxed in what he said, he barely took it as a problem or an issue to be dealt with.
Having a wolfless child could really be an issue in the werewolf world. No!! It was already an issue in the world of werewolves especially in a well prestigious pack like the blue moon pack.
If the pack was known for it's perfection and having flairs in all its areas, of course, they wouldn't want something like having a wolfless child to stain their good and highly esteemed name.
But the worst scenario of them all was if the child was going to be male, then the outcome or consequences could really be frightening.
Alpha Richard's case could now really be considered as reaching the stage of being the worst of worsts, heading from bad direction to the direction painted as being worse.
"Oh! Martins Grey", Alpha Richard uttered out loud after laughing out like a drain, he still sensed some sort of humour in what Martins spoke, it sounded so hilarious to him he couldn't stop laughing about it.
"Just cut to the chase. Alright. Stop beating round the bush and get to the main point", Alpha Richard said as he took another long sip from the glass of wine in his hands.
There was virtually nothing else to say. What was Martins Grey supposed to say now, he was damn serious with every statement that proceeded out of his mouth.
If there was something he knew very well in the medical world, it was the fact that he was not to joke with any report given.
The best they could do was to utter out words of comfort which would keep the patient in a cool and calm situation without hurting their feelings first and that was what he was doing exactly when he started talking and blabbing about Emily.
"I'm serious!", Martins finally said but this time, he sounded confident.
There was another silence in the room. The hilarious statement which Alpha Richard had heard had turned into a serious complicating report in his ears.
He could no longer drink the costly Brandy in his hands and he sat on the chair as if time froze but his view still kept on Martins Grey.
"I mean it! Every word I've said!!", Martins Grey was somehow very confident.
"He MIGHT be wolfless but that doesn't mean it will last forever, maybe at some point in his life, he may be able to channel the wolf in him, but for now", Martins ended his statement by shaking his head slowly with his lips curved downwards.
Of course, he should be, he should be sounding confident, I mean, that was Richard's problem to solve and not his, he couldn't blame himself for the outcome of the child.
All he did was just his job, he came around just in time and assisted Emily with the child birth process, told the father the outcome, how successful it was and the current state of the baby and moved on to other businesses.
"Are you kidding me?!!", Alpha Richard yelled out in disbelief. His voice was surprisingly very loud but he had to reduce the tone of his voice and whisper it again, "Shit!!"
It was at this point Richard knew it was never a joke. He was like a bag of ferrets, fusing inwardly about this statement.
He looked again at Martins Grey who seemed comfortable, slowly drinking the costly wine like a fish. No form of concern was written around his face, it died as he gulped down the wine with all pleasure.
Richard sniffled his nose feeling very disappointed, all his high hopes and expectations would just crash, he had no other choice and then he went on to ask, "which of them?".
"Oh! I think the first!", Martins Grey said as he gulped down the last drop of wine in the glass. He licked his lips satisfactorily as he dropped the glass on the table.
If given the freedom, he would have taken another glass, most likely not the same quantity Alpha Alpha Richard had served him before.
This was the extreme part of the night. It couldn't be possible, not even in a million years, never had he thought of this and never will it be possible.
He used his pinky finger to clear his ears so as to allow the proper sound waves enter freely but the sound of Martins statement, "... the first", was echoing continuously in his ears non-stop.
"What do we do then?", Alpha Richard asked again inquisitively, and this time more concerned.
He was in dear need of help at this point in his life and any advice which sounded good was what he was going to stick with.
"We?", Martins Grey echoed in his mind.
"That ain't my problem!!", Martins Grey echoed again in his mind.
Obviously that was not really his problem to handle, he did his part and was done probably for the day.
But of course, he wouldn't want to utter it out with the Alpha wolf being present. Oh no! He wouldn't. The man who sat there could hold any god or demon in his hands and get what he really desired easily and so killing him would be as easy like a knife going through butter, without even breaking a sweat.
"You just have to keep it a secret, let it just be within the two of us and if anyone else was supposed to know about this, then Emily would be in the right position", Martins Grey answered
Martins Grey looked around, he understood clearly that he had worn out his welcome and decided, he had to leave.
He stood up from the chair, his sight was still centered on Richard who placed his hands on his face and got lost in his own thoughts.
He looked at Richard, the alpha wolf was completely drenched in his own thoughts.
He shoved out an imaginary dirt from his shirt and said to Richard, "I beg to take my leave now, Alpha Richard"
His first son, may not be Alpha after him. Another would be named alpha, and surely not from his family, not his second son, but another from an entirely different family.
He couldn't just let that happen, he had to so something, and as soon as possible.
Maybe Martins Grey was right, he would rather keep it a secret and put his entire effort into training the first son, teaching him the principles of leadership and dominance than to spill the beans and suffer a devastating humiliation.
Alpha Richard stood up from his seat and headed up to the wine vault and picked up another costly wine and poured it from the bottle into a glass and drank it like a fish, drinking it heavily, taking all at the first spot.
"Aghh!!!", He let out the feeling in his body as he clenched his teeth and shook his head to minimize what he felt.
He moved upstairs, his mate could have healed completely at this point and he would finally be able to see his Emily after a long while.
He was at the door, thinking and reasoning the statements he would make to his beloveth Emily.
He breathed in and then out, he did this consistently for some seconds, he did this as a form of exercise. He mumbled out to himself in a low tone, "Let's do this".
He sought courage from his past memories. Oh, how he remembered the days when he felt scared in one point or another, probably in his decision making or in his battle plans and her light toned voice will always utter the statement, "Everything is going to be fine"
Her words pierced through his fear and her ever brilliant smile would weather the raging storm in his heart and her gentle touch usually cooled his nerves.
Sometimes, she knew a touch was not enough to calm his fears in very coarse times, she always elevated from just a touch to a massage.
Once she did that, her touch slowly turned into a massage and a massage into a sweet and gentle intercourse which ignited in him some form of strength.
But that was going to be a story for another day, now it was his turn, the tables had turned and it was his turn to comfort her through his words.
He held onto the door knob, and in a few seconds, he uttered a word of prayer and went into the room.
He saw her seated on a chair, her loose thick hair fell on her shoulders and she was looking at the babies who were in a baby strollers.
"Oh! My dear", Richard broke the silence as he stepped into the room moving towards her.
She still had that bright smile that always drew him closer to her.
He walked towards her and stood behind her, stroking her hair while Emily placed her hands on his strong masculine arms feeling loved.
"You heal quickly", Richard asked as he kissed her neck and continued stroking her hair.
"Not perfectly! But I'm good now", Emily replied in a soft tone.
It had been so long Alpha Richard heard his beloveth Emily's voice, her soft voice was able to still the troubled Waters in his heart.
His thoughts went back to what he really wanted to discuss with her but would now really be the perfect time for this discussion? He didn't want her to go through another pain after the rough delivery process.
"I never thought it would come out to be twins!", Emily uttered as she heaved a sigh of relief.
The last few minutes of her life could be considered as one of the toughest moments in her life, she saw herself in a situation which seemed tighter than anything else.
She remembered her husband's voice, "You can do this!", It gave her strength, it revived her lost energy and when she felt like the energy restored was dying slowly, Martins Grey words spoke life into her.
It was exactly the same thing Richard said, "You can do this". He had advised her to switch into her wolf form so the child delivery process could go easily and smoothly.
It was a painful transformation for her, with the full moon present, shining the sun's reflected lights to the earth surface, her lycanthropic stage was a painful one but it paid off.
Richard looked at the babies who were in their respective strollers, the first born being very agile, carefree and happy, raising his little hands to the air when he saw his father.
Could the little baby know his father? He saw a tall man smiling cheerfully at him and he responded with a smile and some funny baby talks.
The second born was still asleep, and Richard wasn't able to study his character.
"He looks just like you", Emily spoke out hilariously speaking about the striking resemblance between the first born and his father.
Though she was sounding hilarious, she wasn't lying. There was a striking resemblance between the baby and his father, they had the same nose and his dimples were a bit deeper than his father's.
Richard put out his finger and the baby held onto his forefinger tightly. The baby was over joyous and all his concentration was centered on his father's forefinger.
"What will you name him?", Emily asked as she walked closer to Richard and placed her hands on his shoulders.
"Bryan.. ", he said out looking at Emily.
"I'll name him Bryan", he continued, "His name is Bryan, he's my first born son and will be the next alpha after me".
He forgot completely what Martins Grey had said, or maybe he didn't forget, he just wanted to keep his hopes alive.
He simply wanted to keep his faith on, he had this form of assurance that Bryan may find his wolf at the later point of his life.
"And the second?", Emily asked again as she looked at the bay who slept peacefully in his stroller.
He handed over Bryan to his mother, Emily could be seen smiling and making funny faces at the baby who loved to play too.
He picked up the baby and held him in his hands and spoke out, "His name is Nicholas. He will be his brother's best friend and his beta, leading the blue moon pack into victory"
Emily smiled at Richard, their eyes met and he looked into her innocent eyes, he just couldn't hold back anything from her.
She was more than his closest companion, she was his best friend and hiding anything from her would be like killing the relationship between them slowly.
He looked at her, seeming very pitiful and then said to her in a low tone, "I need to tell you something, something very important"
"Are you crying?", Bryan heard a familiar voice which caused him to jerk up from his posture. It was Harriet's, and she was alive."Oh Harriet", he said as he didn't hesitate to hug her deeply. He didn't know if he was the one who height her back to life, or what, but he was grateful, having another opportunity to hear her voice and have her by his side."You're choking me..!", She struggled to say with faint breath, constantly tapping him by his shoulders just so he could break the hug. He hugged her too tight, squeezing the last breath in her lungs, not until he was aware and finally broke the hug. He wouldn't want to be the cause of her second death and so smiled at her.He pressed his lips against hers. That feeling! He would kill himself if he never had the chance to taste the moisture in her lips. She had her hands wrapped around his neck, kissing and reciprocating his actions."You're alive.!", He said with an elated tone, still not able to comprehend what had happened."Yes."
What just happened? The silence in the room was a grave one as Bryan stood to watch the Caesar's head roll on the ground, his eyes still wide open while his body released blood profusely. It seemed as though Luke was on their side, evident in the way he turned swiftly and stood with them, pointing his sword towards them in his defense."Sorry, I'm late.. I just needed the time", he said with heavy breaths, huffing and puffing as he stood with them. How exciting it was! At the initial stage he doubted if he would fight his father's best friend, or if his daughter would fight her father, and surprisingly, he was on their side. There were more powerful forces on his side against Constantine. And speaking of Constantine, she didn't appreciate Luke's actions as the frown on her face had spoken her intentions clear to all of them. If only she knew how cute her porcelain skin was with her platinum blonde hair, then she would keep a smiley face. Yet it pleased him how it stung her deeply in
"I need you to promise me one thing.", Said Bryan as he held Harriet's hand, both standing in the middle on the room and staring into each other's eyesThe night had come, the night when he would battle his foes and would take back what belonged to him. He was nervous, constantly breathing just to keep up with the feeling within him.He heard of the stories of his father's greatest battle with an enemy so powerful. Was he as nervous as he was? Did his father fear the outcome of what would happen after that night just the same way he did?His thoughts ran wild, his mind picturing all the kinds of things which would happen during his battle with the Caesar. They were both positive and negative, successes and losses, yet he feared the latter between the two choices."What is it?", She stood like a loyal lady, holding hands with him. His hands were soft just as hers. Both couldn't get rid of the memories of the previous night, especially the love bite. She couldn't tell if he was insane o
"You really believe tomorrow night would be perfect for this.?", Harriet asked as she walked behind Bryan. Unlike the other days, he was a slow paced walker who had his hands behind his back on a gentle mood. At that point she struggled to keep up with him. She began breathing heavily. Walking with him was tiring and stressful, and the way he had flown through the flight of stairs aas incredibly amazing, yet she couldn't. "Yes.!", He finally replied as his legs stomped swiftly against the stairs from the top unto the last block and then he turned to stare at her. "Try to keep up please?", He asked as he stood with heavy breaths watching as she ran down the steps with speed. She tripped over, almost crashing against a hard floor not until his hands had caught her just at the nick of falling. "Are you alright?", He asked with hands around her waist, looking down at the one who looked to the ground. Her face was few inches before hitting the ground, his speed had saved he
It was still a hot sunny day when they took most of their properties and left immediately. They travelled on their horses, moving far before they had to stop to get some rest. Bryan could only make them stop when he was assured within him that the annihilators were far from them and where they stopped was safe enough. The annihilators attack had went on to show the war which the Caesar had decided upon. Obviously he hadn't signed the treaty given to him.He didn't expect him to sign it easily. The treaty wasn't meant for him, rather his brother. But the sight of his brother being battered and tortured showed the Caesar was in charge and he would be the best person to hand over the treaty to.From the way he sounded and acted, he was an arrogant yet confident man who didn't believe in the word "defeat". And just like he thought, he had blasted the war cry by sending the Annihilators to ease himself of what was to come. Coward!Caesar was a different day, soon to be taught lessons whic
It's been a day after the brief visit to the blue moon pack, his home, and yet he couldn't get over the memories. They kept recurring, and they were getting as fresh as what he couldn't describe. His first sight of his home was amazing. The winds which blew there was much better than what he had ever felt, it was as though it was specially made for that environment. He felt it and it was though he was young again, infact, the memories returned as he stepped his feet on the garden. His parents favourite place. It was more of a love garden to them than what others would have thought, a place where they would sit together and have breakfast, disturbing the winds with their waves of love..And now they were no more, and the garden had turned into an evergreen desert. The water fountain which always had water flowing through it and letting the birds sing with it's gurgling sounds had ceased to function."Hey Bryan.!", He heard his name accompanied with the sound of the door being shut. He
