"August!"

Ayda rose from her bed, chest heaving, cold sweat racing down her body like field horses during harvest season.

Another dream, a nightmare of the night of the Blood Moon, when she'd thought all hope was lost. It had been so real this time, but they'd always felt real when she was caught in them. It was only when she looked out her window and saw the castle grounds that she knew she was safe.

That they had won.
