It Was Necessary

As soon as those words left Urhan, there was a rapid motion in the air, as if something whooshed past Penny. She closed her eyes to protect herself from the gust. Her dress lifted and the tablecloth blew. When Penny opened her eyes, Ludwig wasn’t in his chair. 

There was a loud roar and her whipped in the direction of the sound. She heard a chair getting screeched across the black floor and then thrown. Urhan’s place was missing his presence. Rowena shrieked as she ran behind the flurry of motion. 

Penny’s gaze traveled to where Ludwig had dragged the man. There was not a gasp heard from others, as Penny watched them transfixed. 

“Noooo!” Rowena shrieked again. 

Penny got up and clutched the edge of the table as she watch

Then again, maybe that's not how the necklace works, being that it has to accept the person. She really saved his life....hence, he stated a life for a life while giving it to her.

I just think the story is a bit lost after her stay at the dragon realm. it makes no sense that he gave her the kecklance when he is looking for his human mate.
