The battlefield, already torn apart by the collision of elemental and arctic magic, had fallen into a strained, trembling silence. Smoke curled upward from shattered earth. Snowflakes, formed from Hyna’s icy aura, drifted down only to melt on the boiling ground created by Kimberly’s fire.

Kimberly, glowing in all five elements, stood firm despite the exhaustion trembling in her limbs. The witches behind her were panting, barely standing, using whatever remained of their magic to keep her protected. Gabriel stayed behind the protective line, his eyes locked on his mate with a mixture of pride, fear, and awe.

Hyna, half-knelt on the fractured earth, looked livid.

Half of her arctic gown had been burned away by Kimberly’s last attack. Frost dusted her hair, but streaks of sweat rolled down her temples. For the very first time in centuries, she looked shaken.

"You…" she hissed, voice cracking with something dangerously close to desperation.

"You dare overpower me?"

Kimberly didn’t answer

JEREMIAH By the time the day finally dragged itself to an end, my patience was in ruins.I shut my laptop with more force than necessary and leaned back in my chair, staring at the ceiling for a long moment. Work had been impossible—every report blurred, every meeting dragged—because my attention kept drifting back to one thing.Her.I stood and walked out of my office, ready to leave for the pack. I needed distance. Control. Space to breathe without her scent clouding my thoughts. But when my eyes fell on the desk outside my officeEliana wasn’t there. Her chair was pushed in. Her computer was shut down. Her bag was gone.A flicker of unease slid through me.She usually waited until I left.I inhaled instinctively. Her scent was still there. Not faint. Not lingering.Present."She’s still in the building," I muttered. My wolf stirred, alert immediately.'Find her.'I followed the trail without thinking—down the corridor, past empty offices, toward the quieter end of the floor. The s

JEREMIAH Yesterday was a mistake. That was the first thought that crossed my mind as I stood in front of the mirror, tie perfectly straight, expression perfectly calm and mind absolutely not.I could still feel it.That almost-kiss.The brush of her lips against mine had replayed itself all night, cruel and relentless. I hadn’t slept. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her wide-eyed, breathless, warm in my arms.'Control yourself,' I told my reflection. My wolf scoffed.'You pulled away.'"Yes," I muttered under my breath. "Because I had to."'Because you were scared.'I clenched my jaw. "Enough."The elevator ride up was worse than yesterday. Every sense was already on edge, tuned to one thing, one person. By the time the doors opened on the executive floor, my wolf was restless, pacing like a caged animal. And thenHer scent hit me.Fresh. Familiar. Dangerous. She was already at her desk.My heart rate spiked instantly. She looked up when she heard my footsteps, and for half a seco

ELIANA The ride was… quiet. Not the comfortable kind. The kind that pressed against my chest and made it hard to breathe.Jeremiah drove with one hand on the steering wheel, his posture rigid, eyes fixed on the road ahead. The city lights slipped past the windows, blurring into streaks of gold and white, but I barely noticed them.He said that he wanna discuss some work but haven't said anything about it yet.All I could focus on was him.The car felt too small. Every movement, every breath, every shift of air between us felt magnified."So," I said finally, just to break the silence, "you wanted to discuss… business?"He cleared his throat. "Yes."But he didn’t start.I glanced at him briefly, then looked away just as fast. My heart was racing for no logical reason. This was my boss. A man I’d known for barely a few days. Then why did it feel like this? The car hit a slight bump, and my hand slid against his arm where it rested near the gearshift. The contact was brief.Accidental.

JEREMIAH I told myself I didn’t care. That was the lie I repeated the entire afternoon. From my office window, the cafeteria was visible through the lower glass levels of the building—a calculated architectural choice meant to remind executives of the people they employed. Normally, I barely noticed it.Today, my attention snapped there without warning.Her.Eliana sat at a table near the window, sunlight catching in her hair as she laughed softly at something someone said. That is Chris from Finance department. I felt it instantly—the sharp pull in my chest, the irritation that flared hot and sudden, completely irrational. My jaw tightened. He leaned in too close. His posture casual in a way that suggested confidence—like he believed he had every right to be there, occupying her attention.Eliana might not have noticed but I can see the way he is looking at her.My wolf stirred, restless.'He is watching our mate.'"She’s not ours." I muttered under my breath, fingers tightening ar

ELIANA By the time lunch rolled around the next day, I had convinced myself that the strange tension of my first morning had been nothing more than nerves. That was a lie.Jeremiah Blackwood still lived rent-free in my head.I was trying very hard not to think about the way his eyes had darkened when we first met or how my chest tightened every time he walked past my desk. I told myself he was just my boss—cold, intimidating, and very much out of my league.Still, when Moana dragged me to the cafeteria, my thoughts followed him anyway."Okay," she said, grabbing my arm, "today you’re officially meeting people. No hiding behind your desk.""I wasn’t hiding," I protested weakly. She gave me a look. "You were absolutely hiding."The cafeteria buzzed with voices, laughter, and the clatter of trays. It felt warmer than the executive floor- more alive. Moana immediately spotted a group from her department and pulled me along."Guys, this is Eliana," she announced proudly. "Our CEO’s new se

  • Alpha's Weak Omega    Chapter 2

JEREMIAH The elevator doors slid shut behind me with a muted click, sealing me inside a polished glass cage that smelled faintly of steel and cologne. Another day. Another mask. I adjusted the cuffs of my suit, eyes flicking briefly to my reflection in the mirrored wall. To the world, I was Jeremiah Blackwood—twenty-one years old, CEO of HT Enterprises, youngest executive to ever take the position, brilliant, ruthless, human. Only a handful knew the truth. That beneath the tailored suit and calm expression lived a Lycan who ruled a hidden Kingdom beyond this city—one who balanced two worlds every single day. The elevator began to rise. Floor numbers lit up one by one. I inhaled. And my breath caught painfully in my chest. The scent came out of nowhere. Warm. Soft. Impossible to ignore. My spine went rigid, muscles tensing instantly as my senses sharpened without permission. My heart rate spiked, a low vibration settling deep in my chest. "What the—" I muttered under my
