Chapter 7

"Alpha has sent this dress and jewelry for you." Jessica said excitedly as she entered my room with shopping bags.

She took out that red Satin dress, which was looking decent and gorgeous. I can imagine myself in it. It's beautiful.

"Let's get you ready for your date, Kim. " Jessica shoved me towards the bathroom to take a shower. I took a bath and washed my hair. I wrapped a towel around myself and came out.

Jessica started doing my hair first. She curled them . She started working on my makeup . I want to keep it minimal. She did light makeup. Then, I slipped into the dress and wore the accessories sent by Aiden . Everything is looking good and lastly I pared it with my red sandals.

"You are looking breathtaking. Alpha will fall for you even more." Jessica commented.

"Jessi, I can't develop feelings for him. Is it alright for me to go on this date. Wouldn't things get awkward this way." I asked.

"Kim, Alpha already knows you don't have feelings for him. You and Aiden both deserve to be loved. This date may be a chance for you to spend some time together and get to know each other. What if you also get feelings for him someday. We don't know anything about your past, but deep down, we all can see you were hurt deeply. Aiden can see that, too. He won't rush you into anything. Give yourself a chance to find happiness, Kim." Jessica hugged me.

We heard a knock on the door. Jessica opened the gate.

Aiden was standing there, well dressed. Looking dashing as always. He was holding a rose bouquet.

"I'm afraid I have to steal your friend, Jessica. " Alpha said to Jessi.

"You can take her." Jessi pushed me towards Aiden.

"You are looking marvelous, Kimberly. Now, these roses are looking dull in front of you." Aiden complimented.

"You are being too cheesy. Roses are more beautiful than me." I chuckled. Aiden gave the bouquet to me and extended his arm towards me. I held his arm, and we walked towards the parking.

"Where are we heading?" I asked.

"Be patient. You will find out soon." Aiden replied. He drove us through the busy streets of the pack. We arrived in front of a restaurant. Aiden opened the door of the passenger seat for me. As we stood in front of the building, I was amazed.

'Silver Moon'

"Aiden, this is?"

"Yes, it's what you are thinking. We are in front of The Silver Moon." Aiden smiled.

This restaurant is exclusive to Alpha and his family. Only the Alpha family has access to dine here. Apart from that, only the other pack's Alphas and diplomats who are invited to dine with Alpha have the honor to come here. Jessica told me about this place. She never got a chance to visit here. While Nat has attended some meetings with Alpha here.

"Let's go." Aiden guided me inside.

"Welcome to the Silver Moon Alpha and young lady." Waitress greeted us.

"This way, please. " She guided us towards our seat. Aiden pulled the chair for me like a gentleman. There was a huge glass window near our seat. As I looked outside the window, I was in awe . The moon looks so beautiful from here.

"This place has the best view of moon in the entire pack . No wonder it's named Silver Moon." Aiden said.

"It's so beautiful, Aiden. I want to take a picture. " I said.

Aiden took out his phone and clicked some pictures of mine with the moon in the background. They were all good .

"I don't know what's more beautiful, the Moon or you." He chuckled. I blushed at his words.

"Are you ready for placing your order?" Waitress asked.

"I would have whatever the lady takes." Aiden gestured towards me. I go through the menu and place an order for us.

Dinner was delicious. We talked our hearts. At first, I was so nervous, but things went in natural flow.

"Thank you for this beautiful surprise, Aiden. " I said as we were back in the pack house.

"Pleasure is all mine. I have a request to make." He said.

"Go ahead."

"Would you mind going on a run with me before heading back to your room?" He asked.

'Say yes, Kim. I wanna go on a run.' Moon purred.

"Okay, Moon is excited just by the mention of running. " I chuckled.

"So is Silver. " Aiden said. His wolf silver is very strong. Moon has practiced her fighting skills with him a lot. But they never go on a casual run and have their bonding time.

Both of us shifted in our wolves and started running . Moon was feeling happy as soon as her paws touched the grass. She purred as she ran through the woods. Silver was right beside her. Suddenly, he pushed her playfully, and they were having a play fight. I couldn’t help but giggle. I'm happy that Moon is having a good time.

'Seems like these two are getting along well, too.' Aiden said through mindlink.

'Yes, Moon is happy .' I replied.

'What about you? Are you happy? With me?' Aiden asked. I could sense the hint of nervousness in his voice.

Jessi was right. I should give my life another chance, especially for Moon. I know she pretended to be strong for me but always longed for her mate. We can't go back to Gabriel. It's better to move on and choose a mate who will cherish us.

'Yes, I am,' I replied.

'That's all I want.' Aiden replied.

'But I need time, Aiden. I don't want to rush things. I want to get over with my past before committing to you.' I replied.

'You can take your time , love. I will wait.' Aiden replied with sincerity. Silver snuggled against Moon. I was hesitant but didn't make Moon retreat .

I closed my eyes, and Gabriel’s face came in my vision.

'You still miss our mate?' Moon asked.

'No, why would I long for someone who wanted to kill us.' I replied.

'Don’t try to pretend, Kim. I know you better than anyone. Try to move on, Kim, as you decided just now. You deserve to be happy. ' Moon said.

Now I know, Moon is doing exactly what I'm doing. I'm trying to move on for her sake, and she is trying the same for me. It's best for us to move ahead in life.
