Axels pov

The meeting went great. I shared my plans with Alpha Drake and he seemed really surprised.

"You're really nothing like your father are you? I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but that man didn't have a kind bone in his body. I was surprised he was killed by a rogue, because what he lacked in kindness he gained in ruthlessness."

Alpha Drake was right, my father was a strong and ruthless bastard.

I explained, "the rogue used a silver blade laced with wolfsbane."

I saw the look on Alpha Drakes face, a face of pain mixed with relief.

"I hated the bastard, but I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Wolfsbane hurts like a bitch. It does feel a bit like karma though, wasn't he known for carving up traitors and rogues with a silver blade?"

I quickly changed the subject, I did not want to think about my father to much.

"I am glad you feel this way about me, I can use all the help I can get. Some of the old guards aren't happy with my chances and I have been feeling some resistan
