    ** Crunch and Chew Restaurant**

Layla's POV

     The cool morning how breeze blew gently soothing my sweaty skin , my eyes tired and puffy at the same time .

I yawned loudly, counting the croissants I had baked since last night. My shoulders and palms ached , I decide to take a short nap before Lady Sia arrives.

I moved the little bag of flour off the table, dropped and leaped back on the table. 

    Without wasting much time,my tired body submits so nature takes it course .

It was not long ,I felt a hand shake me roughly and droplets of water trickle on my face .

I jerk wildly off the dough making table ,my eyes wide with my hands up ready to attack such disruptor of my sweet sleep .

The smears of fluffy dough filled my face like the contour of a brown foundation primer used for a make over .

 “ Will you get off the work table you Nitwit ” Lady Sia yells . She is dressed in an orange gown coupled with a cream coloured shawl wrapped around her neck. 

Her jewelries dangled from each side of her ear ,she smack the fry pan against my head .

“ I am sorry Aunt , I dozed off .” I apologized grabbing a the apron and tossing it on my neck .

“ Sorry for your stupid self because if these croissants are not prepared and arranged where there should be ,no school for you .” Lady Sia,my aunt replies nonchalantly . 

She moved out of the kitchen area with a mug of coffee in her hand .

   I glanced at the wall clock on the other side of the restaurant, it was few minutes past six . I picked the last dough and knead it before cutting it out with a cutter .

My aunt ensured I had made over two hundred fifty pieces of croissant and did not have enough time to rest nor sleep a wink .

Every staff had gone home except me because Lady Sia,my father's sister made perfect sure that I did not leave the restaurant .

 Just then ,Benjamin Moore walked in with a carton coloured brown shirt ,tuck into a belted black trouser.

He smelled nice and not crap like me .

I moved backward a bit when he walked in.

 “ Hurry, and shower so you won't be late for school .” Benjamin Moore said picking an apron hung on a stand .

He proceeds by wearing it over his head and tying the rope not too tight around his waist .

I twitched my nose and then nods twice .

“ No, Lady Sia will fire you . I do not want you to get into trouble because of me .” I rasps stubbornly refusing to take my weak and tired hands off the work table .

“ You mentioned writing a test today , that is why I rushed here. ” Benjamin cooed then he clicked in my head .

“ Oh my goodness ! ” I exclaimed, I had literally forgotten about the test which would be written in class today.

    I dashed into the toilet and washed myself quickly . Satisfied,i slips into a Navy blue pleated skirt and white shirt , tuck in and wear my Blazer. I tied my hair in a ponytail hairstyle and slip into my brown shoe that looks worn out in a jiffy .

  Just as I was about to leave the kitchen through the back door , Benjamin stops me by pulling back gently .

“ Have croissants would you ? ” He said stretching forth a paper bag and a container which held coffee in it.

My eyes widened ,I quickly looked around ,

“ She's coming ” I whispered 

“ Go ! ” Benjamin answers sharply pressing the paper bag and coffee into my hands . 

He watched as I dashed out of the kitchen from the back door taking the bush route to the school which would be approximately a thirty minutes walk to arrive .

       I am Layla Reeds , the daughter of Beta Reeds from White Ray pack. I have lived eighteen years of my life in cruelty from both my Dad and Lady Sia ,his sister .

I never knew what a mother's love felt like, the only persons who showed me love were Lydia who is my best friend, Benjamin Moore and two other staff in the restaurant. 

    Aside the aforementioned, I am different from every one else in the park , when I turned 18 I anticipated transforming into my werewolf form and accessing other abilities the werewolf possessed. 

But it turned into a what not , It was a full blood moon night,my fingers transformed with little furs taking the place of the hair , a long fluffy tail at my anus and my eyes balls switched to red .

My sense of smell, hearing and sight heightened and I crave for blood .

    Within split seconds after the transformation, I passed out. Lydia explained to me I was Hybrid the next morning when I was awake.

  “ No , this can not be ” I recollected saying that and panting that cold morning , she promised to keep my secret as Hybrids were seen as threat to the were wolf specie .

   That is all about myself .

“ Laylaaaaaa ” A familiar voice yells my name from a distance .

“Lydia ? What are you doing here ?” I asked folding my arms under my chest 

“ I stopped by the restaurant , Benjamin told me you left .” she replies panting hard .

“ He helped me out .” I answered coolly .

“ You slept at restaurant again, oh that witch of your aunt would not let you be .” Lydia huffs angrily.

“ I wish I could grab her by her hair and poke my fingers into those damn eyes of her. ” Lydia added while I chuckled. 

“ We both know that is not possible Lydia besides , I am used to it .” I replied and then pulled her to walk faster so we are not late for class .

   In no time,we got to school and were settled in class .

Mrs George walked in bespectacled wearing a huge frown on her face , she adjusted the glasses .

“ Who was the last person that submitted an assignment ?” Mrs George inquired

“ I was ” I replied wondering what it was all about .

“ where is the twenty five dollars I placed on the table ?” 

“ Excuse me ma ? ” I uttered in disbelief 

“ I did not take it — ”.

“ Liar ! ” 

“ To my office ” Mrs George thunders .r

Mrs George is known to be a disciplinarian, goosebumps taking over my skin.

If Mrs George finds out ,I waYs in trouble .
