Chapter fifty seven
Waking up I feel the warmth of Dax's body against mine just like it is every morning. I lay there and remember that I was meeting Sue for a coffee this morning, so I throw my arm out of the covers and feel around for my phone off the bedside table and open on eye to look at the time. Seeing that I had just over an hour to meet her I snuggle back in to Dax for twenty more minutes before slowly getting out of the bed so I don't wake Dax and get ready to go.
Before I set off I kiss Dax, he wakes up and grabs me to stop me from going. I give him one more kiss and then struggle my way out of his arms."Let me go, I'm going to meet Sue.""Fine then, I suppose I better get up anyway loads to do today as usual." "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" was yelled and it startled me awake. My Mum and my brother's were stood at the side of where me, Lisa and Benji fell asleep.I groggily see through my half open eye. DAX POV Growing up has always been a mixture of tough but great. Being the son of the Alpha and the next Alpha of this pack meant I had certain expectations made of me. I had to start training not just on the fighting, but on how to run the pack and the pack businesses as soon as I was old enough to walk. I first started feeling the fever of my first turn when I was just ten, that is one of the youngest in history. Which means more was expected from me, they said I would be one of the strongest Alpha's we have ever had. By the time I was sixteen I was already taller than my Dad and had more muscles aswell, my Dad get's more and more excited the bigger and stronger I get. AURORA'S POV Waking up, I was so sore everything seemed to be hurting. I try to open my eyes but my right one doesn't seem to want to follow the left one and remains closed. I try to sit up but then some hands hold me down, I look and there is Dax seeing him makes a tear spill from my eyes. What would he think of such a weak mate? "Do not cry Aurora, you will be fine, you will fully heal within the next day or so, but at the minute you have a few broken ribs and leg so try not to move too much. Do you remeber what happened or who/ what did this to you?" I don't want to answer him just yet so I just shake my head. Tilly is talking to me now, "Tell him, tell our mate he will help." "I don't know it was his ex that did this to us." "Yes but he is our mate now not hers." I wish I could share her optimism. After they made sure that I was OK by myself at home, they left with a kiss to the cheek. I couldn't help wishing for my wolf to come through soon, I need to turn so hopefully I will get a bit stronger so I can kick Shanya's arse all on my own. That was now my goal. I didn't want to have to run to Dax, this was my fight I was not backing down for the likes of her. If I don't turn soon, I would just have to hope the training we get will toughen me up.
