Violet's POV

"Why would you go to a party in the woods without informing the Alpha of the pack?" Ezekiel really didn't grant permission to sit down. He commanded me to get up and apologize for what I did first, which I was hesitating to do.

"Jeremy claimed to have informed you about it. Why would I need to do that again?" I replied, and he nodded slowly before flipping through the pages of one of those random books on his table. And then he looked up at me.

"I was going to ask Kira to replace you today since our men didn't find you in the woods, and you're lucky you arrived early. Your daughter has really missed you, and she's in the room, waiting for you to attend to her. Our daughter is the major thing joining us together, and that's why I'll forgive you," he said, and then asked me to sit, but rather, I turned and left.

As soon as I left his office, I spotted Jeremy walking inside with his hands dipped into his pockets. Why did he have to wait for me to leave first?
