Violet's POV

"You know I'm a mother and I have a daughter to attend to. Leave me alone for now, and we can talk later," I said to Simon in his room. I'd asked around where he stayed, and I kept searching until I found him. I noticed the bright smile on his face when he saw me at his doorstep.

He locked the door and held the key with him as he took off his shirt, and I stared at his bare chest. I swallowed a lump in my throat as his scent suddenly washed over me. He was my second chance mate, and my wolf was screaming at me to accept him, but we could be making a huge mistake if we didn’t consider this carefully.

"You don't want to leave me here. You were told to leave me instead. I'm sure the goddess brought you here, because there’s no way you could have had the intention to look for me in the pack," Simon said, still standing by the door while I sat on the bed staring back at him.
