Ornan pov
Ornan who is inside Amber glared at his ex-brother and Althea. He will not allow them to be happy. If they think, this is all over and I left this girl's body for good, then they are sorely mistaken.
I am bidding my time. That water in the lake made my magic weaker. It's not sufficient to control this girl like I want her to.
I need time to recuperate and then I will take Althea away from him. Her beauty belongs to me, her softness is mine to ruin.
She is all mine to have. He fisted his palms in anger.
"You should kill her" a dark shadow appears in one corner of the room.
Ornan who is inside Amber turns towards the source of the voice startled.
As soon as he saw the shadow, he gasps in surprise.

Darius povThe next morning I left Thea in the company of Max and Melanie. I heard how the latter helped Thea when the pack was breached by the dead of the dark world."I need a word with you Johnathan," I tell Thea's father when I pass him in the hallway towards my study."Yes, my King" he follows behind me closely.I go inside and let the door open for him. He comes inside and closes it behind him.I settle down in my chair and look at him closely. Now that I am observing him, yes indeed he resembles the priest I killed almost 100 years ago.He needs to know everything about what's happening here. Knowledge is power. If he knew about the issue at hand he will be much more prepared than being ignorant.Knowing about our enemy is what gives us an advantage over him. "What is it baby sister, what are you thinking" Max sits beside me.I was sitting near the lake and thinking about what the witch Lord said about Amber. I haven't noticed Max."Nothing" I try to brush it off like it's nothing. I don't want him to worry. I am sure Darius must be thinking about the same. Almost all the shifters in the royal pack were acting as if they don't have any control over their animal form.Only a few of them remain sane, and even they were confused as to why their fellow pack members acting this way.The moment Darius reaches my side, I told him what I observed earlier. We cry like kids. I am happy y that she is free from his clutches."I am so sorry. Me and Darius were sitting and talking near the lake last night.We felt like someone was watching us. Being a human, I can only see so far in the dark. But Darius is a shifter, his vision is much clearer even in the Darkness.He saw Amber looking at us standing in her room near her window. First, he was shocked and then told me what he saw."Amber is looking at us," he said once he turned his gaze towards the lake.I tried to turn around and see if she is looking or not."Not now, don't turn. You won't be able to see it. It's too dark outside" he suggested."But, how can it be possible. She is in a coma" I asked him baffled."Do you remember what the Witch lord said about her just a few hours ago?" he asked me."What did he...oh. He said 'she is still in his possession. It's dangerous to keep her here'" I remembered his words."She is indeed in his possession. He is still using her" he concluded."What do we do now?" I ask

The wards exhaust the energy of anything which is trapped in it. That's what happened with Ornan. The wards which were activated by his magic trapped him between them. It slowly drained the energy force of his spirit until nothing left of him.Darius was visibly sad after that. He locked himself in his study only to come out this morning.He must have come to terms with what happened to Ornan. We all decided to take the witch lord upon his offer and visit his house.Me, Darius, Max, my father, Li, Melanie, and my grandfather came to lord Agamanan's house.It's an old house with stone walls and an ancient look to it.The house is three-story, the first floor has a living room, kitchen, dining room. The second floor has bedrooms. The third floor is prohibited to enter and that's where the books are. The third floor has four walls, if any person accidentally entered into it and sees that, they will just see four plain stone walls, nothing else.
