Darius pov
The next morning I left Thea in the company of Max and Melanie. I heard how the latter helped Thea when the pack was breached by the dead of the dark world.
"I need a word with you Johnathan," I tell Thea's father when I pass him in the hallway towards my study.
"Yes, my King" he follows behind me closely.
I go inside and let the door open for him. He comes inside and closes it behind him.
I settle down in my chair and look at him closely. Now that I am observing him, yes indeed he resembles the priest I killed almost 100 years ago.
He needs to know everything about what's happening here. Knowledge is power. If he knew about the issue at hand he will be much more prepared than being ignorant.
Knowing about our enemy is what gives us an advantage over him. Johnathan will also be aware of how dangerous and old this person is.
He should know the obsession Ornan holds over Thea. But, what is his purpose for all this?

Almost all the shifters in the royal pack were acting as if they don't have any control over their animal form.Only a few of them remain sane, and even they were confused as to why their fellow pack members acting this way.The moment Darius reaches my side, I told him what I observed earlier. "Amber" I answer truthfully.He looks as stunned as I felt."What?" he exclaimed in surprise."What do you mean Thea? Amber is in a coma. How can she compel all those shifters? We cry like kids. I am happy y that she is free from his clutches."I am so sorry. Me and Darius were sitting and talking near the lake last night.We felt like someone was watching us. Being a human, I can only see so far in the dark. But Darius is a shifter, his vision is much clearer even in the Darkness.He saw Amber looking at us standing in her room near her window. First, he was shocked and then told me what he saw."Amber is looking at us," he said once he turned his gaze towards the lake.I tried to turn around and see if she is looking or not."Not now, don't turn. You won't be able to see it. It's too dark outside" he suggested."But, how can it be possible. She is in a coma" I asked him baffled."Do you remember what the Witch lord said about her just a few hours ago?" he asked me."What did he...oh. He said 'she is still in his possession. But despite everything he did till now, today is the first time he is truly showing his insecurity."True, then how did I become bad and he became good. The wards exhaust the energy of anything which is trapped in it. That's what happened with Ornan. The wards which were activated by his magic trapped him between them. It slowly drained the energy force of his spirit until nothing left of him.Darius was visibly sad after that. He locked himself in his study only to come out this morning.He must have come to terms with what happened to Ornan. We all decided to take the witch lord upon his offer and visit his house.Me, Darius, Max, my father, Li, Melanie, and my grandfather came to lord Agamanan's house.It's an old house with stone walls and an ancient look to it.The house is three-story, the first floor has a living room, kitchen, dining room. The second floor has bedrooms. The third floor is prohibited to enter and that's where the books are. The third floor has four walls, if any person accidentally entered into it and sees that, they will just see four plain stone walls, nothing else.

Darius POV"Angel" I rush towards the direction from where I heard my angel's soft cry.She is on the ground unmoving. She is not even breathing."Breath Angel. You cannot take her away from me. I just got her back. Please take me away as well" I cry with pain.I just got her back, he cannot be so cruel and take her away from me. Please Angel come back to me.I press on her chest to help her breathe. I blow air into her mouth."Please Angel, this time I cannot live without you. Please come back" I whisper broken.Everyone surrounding us gasp, looking at my anguished self.I continue pressing her chest and give her air through her mouth. After what felt like an eternity, which is only a few minutes she takes a deep breath.She coughs through the sudden intake of air and then settle down a bit."Thank god she is breathing," Max says with a sigh of relief."Why is she not opening her eyes," Melanie asks panicked.
