"Alyona, hi. I wasn't expecting you at all. Come in." Kimora ushered her into the house.

" I came bearing gifts," she said, handing her a bouquet and the latest YVL bag in a box.

" Oh, my gosh! Thank you so much. Care for some wine?" Kimora asked, putting her gifts away.

" Yes, yes, a bottle of Moscatto will do, please." Alyona smiled at her. She was impressed by the interior decor of Kimora's home. There was no doubt that she had great taste.

" Have you heard from Bazyli? " Kimora asked, pouring a glass of wine for Aly and herself.

" Yeah, he said he would be coming back this weekend," she smiled. She couldn't wait to see him. This had been the most boring and slowest three weeks ever.

" Awesome"

" Enough of Bazyli. Is there anyone you're seeing at the moment?" Alyona's question caught Kim off guard, making her hesitate before answering her.

" Not at the moment, but there's someone I like; unfortunately, he doesn't feel the same way." She tried to mask her pain.

“ Can I know his name if you don’t mind?”

“ Calvin, Calvin Dwight,” Kimora added, gulping her drink. Aly remained silent for a while, trying to digest the information she had just received from Kim.

“ He lost his wife and twins to a grueling accident." Alyona spoke up after a while.

“ You heard his story too?”

“ Calvin was married to my cousin, Raelyn.”

“ He was what?”

“ Calm down, Kim. I’m not here to warn you; I’m not a bitch. Besides, it’s been over two years, and Calvin is allowed to move on. I’m here for you. If it’s you he truly wants, he’ll come for you. What I am trying to say is to live your life. Don’t let your life come to a standstill because of him. Be happy and have fun. The right person will come, and when he does, you will know. If the right person is Calvin, then that’s awesome.”

"Thanks, Aly. For a second, I thought you were going to discourage me from dating him because it’s only been two years and it's too early to move on.” she sighed.

“ I have no right to say that to you. He has every right to move on with whoever he wants to."

“ You know Bazyli is in love with you, right?” Kimora asked Alyona as she picked up her bag and was about to leave the house after they had spent almost the whole day together, talking about life.

“ He is ?” she smirked at her friend.

“ Don’t tell him I told you,” she whispered, slightly tipsy.

“ He won’t know I was here," she replied, walking to her car as Kim locked the door behind her.

How come you’re here alone? Where’s Talia?” Davina asked as she spotted Zeke at a club alone. She had come to cool off after the stressful week she had had.

“ Who?”

Your girlfriend, Zeke. Where's she?" Davina asked, sitting beside him and casually grabbing the shot in his hand, gulping it down in a go.

" She left," he managed to say. He had gone to a ring shop earlier to get a ring for her. For all the years they had been together, he was ready to get married to the woman he loved dearly.

The plan was to propose to her at her favorite place tonight. But when he got home, he had the shock of his life.

Talia told him she was tired of waiting for him to propose to her and she was moving on with her life.

He tried to calm her down and tell her what he had planned for her but she wasn't ready to listen. It was as if her mind had already been made up and was looking for the right time to tell him. Turned out that the right time was the day he wanted to propose to him.

' If only I had proposed earlier as she wanted she wouldn't have left,' He thought to himself.

" What do you mean she left?" Davina asked, confused , knowing how much those two loved each other.

" She broke up with me and it's my fault. I was going to propose to her today, but I should have done that earlier." He explained.

" Come on,"

" What?"

" Get up, we're going to get your girl back," Davina explained, dragging him out of the club.

" But sh-she left," he managed to say.

" Yeah, but you're going to get her back. You both have come too far to part ways like this. We've got to get you some soup to sober you up before we head to Talia's house." she explained as they walked to her car.

They made a stop at a soup kitchen to get him some soup, then another stop at the mall to get him a change of clothes after he was done with his soup.

About two hours later, they were parked in front of Talia's house.

" I know you wanted to propose at her favorite place, but you've got to do it here if you want her back. Call me after you proposed," she added as Zeke got out of her car and she drove away.

He rang the doorbell twice before Talia opened the door letting him inside.

" What do you want, Zeke? " she questioned as her voice broke at the end of the sentence. He got a closer view of her face and realized she had been crying.

" To marry you,"

" Zeke, I-wait what?" she asked, trying to process what she had just heard.

" Marry me, Talia. I know you've been hinting at this for so long but I just didn't think it was the right time. I wanted to get things ready and s—-

" Yes, yes. I will marry you." she said after cutting him off with a kiss. He took out the most beautiful ring she had seen and slipped it on her finger, fitting perfectly.

" I'm sorry I made you cry babe," he pulled her in for a hug.

" I'm sorry I left, " she replied.

" No, I'm sorry you left because of me, and I'm glad I came back for you. Although someone helped me," he added.

" Who?"

" A friend,"

That's a good friend. You care for something to eat? " Talia asked.

" No. I need to make a phone call, " he replied, pulling out his phone and calling Davina while on loud speaker.

" Hi Talia, did he give you the ring yet?" she asked as soon as she answered the phone.

" Yes, Davina. I guess you're the friend who helped him out, " she smiled.

" That's what friends are for. You both have come too far just to break off things. By the way, when is the wedding? " she asked making them burst out into laughter.

A few years laterEpilogue. To create a 2500-word simplified version of the scene while staying true to the emotional depth and natural tone, I would focus on expanding the moments of reflection, internal dialogue, and memories, while also adding more description and backstory to the characters and events. The goal is to enrich the scene, making it feel fuller and more detailed, without relying on overly complex language. Here’s how we can structure and simplify the epilogue:---"Hey Dad..." she whispered, kneeling gently beside the weathered tombstone. Her fingertips brushed over the engraved name, now softened by years of exposure to rain, sun, and the passage of time. She felt a mix of heaviness in her heart, but somehow, being here always made her feel a little lighter too, like part of the weight of missing him was shared by the earth holding him now.She hadn’t planned to visit today—it just sort of happened. She had been passing by the cemetery on her way home and felt that pu

Bazyli and Aly walked slowly through the park, enjoying the fresh air and the quiet around them. It had been a long journey for Bazyli, but he was finally out of the wheelchair. He now used a cane to help him walk, and though it wasn’t easy, he was proud of how far he had come. As he looked around, everything felt new again—the grass, the trees, even the sound of kids playing in the distance. It was as if the world was welcoming him back, one step at a time."I can’t believe it," Bazyli said with a soft smile, looking down at his feet. "After all these months, I can finally stand on my own two feet again." His voice carried a mixture of disbelief and relief, as if he still couldn’t quite wrap his head around the fact that he was walking again.Aly, who was walking beside him, smiled warmly. "I’m happy for you too," she said, glancing at him with pride in her eyes. "Soon enough, you won’t even need that cane." Her tone was light and hopeful, trying to encourage him, but Bazyli just lau

“I hope she’s fine,” Gia asked over the phone, her voice tinged with concern as Ximena informed her of Shane and Ayanda’s breakup.“I think she is,” Ximena replied, though uncertainty lingered in her voice.“She’ll be fine,” Gia added reassuringly.“I hope so. I know she has new prospects anyway,” Ximena joked, trying to lighten the mood.“How’s it going with your mom, Xi? It’s been a month since you decided to reconnect with her,” Gia asked, knowing this was a sensitive topic for her friend.“It’s been awkward, Gia. We barely have anything to talk about when she calls or when I call her,” Ximena paused, taking a deep breath. “She wants me to come back home, but I don’t think I’m ready to do that, Gia. She threw me out without considering how I would survive on my own. She didn’t just abandon me; she ensured the rest of the family didn’t take me in. How does she expect me to accept returning home as if nothing happened?”Gia sighed, feeling the weight of Ximena’s pain. “It’s complicat

Bazyli’s therapy sessions had finally begun after some initial setbacks, and it was hectic for Aly to balance work with attending the sessions. Even though Kim and the live-in nurse were around, Aly still needed to be there for the sessions when both of them were absent.“I’m happy you both sorted out your differences,” Ida said as she walked into Aly’s office with Khloe and Davina in tow. Talia was a few months pregnant, so Zeke was hardly around these days.“I’m happy we did too,” Aly replied, smiling warmly at her friends. She was grateful to have such a wonderful circle of people around her. Since her first broken relationship, the death of her father, and almost losing her second relationship, they had been there for her, and she cherished their support deeply. Her life hadn’t been all rosy despite the money she had, but her friends had been the best anyone could ask for. She wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.“How’s Bazyli doing? Is he responding well to therapy?” Kh

Bazyli wheeled himself into Aly's bedroom, his face set with determination. "Can we talk?" he asked, his voice carrying an edge of urgency.Aly looked up from her desk, where she had been pretending to study, her heart pounding in her chest. "Yeah, sure," she replied, trying to keep her tone steady. "We were bound to have this conversation sooner or later." She could feel her palms growing sweaty as she tried to anticipate where this was going.Bazyli raised an eyebrow, his surprise evident. "Wait, you knew I had regained my memory?" he asked, a mixture of shock and confusion colouring his words.Aly nodded slowly, swallowing hard. "Yes, I did. She confirmed it," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She had hoped to avoid this moment, to give herself more time to think of the right words, the right explanations. But now, here it was, staring her in the face.Bazyli let out a long breath, his eyes searching hers for answers. "Okay," he said finally, his tone softer now, as if he

From his room, Bazyli looked out the window. He remembered everything, but he didn't know how to tell Aly the bad news. He didn't know how to ask her what she wanted to talk about before the accident. He was thankful for what she did for him, but he had to talk to her. They needed to talk things out so that they wouldn't be awkward with each other. She was still important to him, and he hoped she felt the same way.The sound of his phone made him lose his train of thought."Hey Clinton, what's up?"He said, "Aubrey came by; she wanted to meet with you," while waiting for his boss to answer."We met online yesterday, and she didn't say anything about coming by today." What did she need?""She said she was in the area and just wanted to stop by for a quick chat." "But she did ask how you were doing," he said.“Okay, that's fine. I hope everything is going well at the bar, though,” he inquired.“ Yes, everything is going well here. How are you doing yourself?”“ Not bad, Clinton, not bad.
