Ethan’s POV

I frowned, turning sharply to look back at the stage. The loud drumming had suddenly stopped, leaving a strange emptiness in the bar. My eyes quickly found the reason.

Cayden.

He stood confidently on stage, holding a huge bouquet of bright red roses. They looked vibrant, beautiful—like her. My chest tightened painfully at the sight.

Katelyn stared at Cayden with surprise, clearly not expecting this gesture. Her drumsticks hovered mid-air, unsure of what to do next. The silence in the club grew heavier, every eye fixed on them.

Cayden smiled warmly, offering her the flowers. “For you,” he said clearly, his voice echoing softly through the speakers.

Katelyn hesitated, then reached out slowly, accepting the roses politely. Her cheeks turned slightly pink, and she murmured a quiet “Thank you.”

Then, Cayden leaned closer, smiling gently. “Flowers complement beauty,” he whispered loud enough for everyone to hear.

Before I could fully process what was happening, he tilted his hea

Katelyn’s POV“What are you doing here?” he asked.I straightened, trying to pretend my heart wasn’t hammering. “Buying an energy drink.”His brow lifted. “In a boutique?”“I.…” My eyes darted to the discreet signage above the door. “They… have a fridge.”Ethan laughed. A quiet, disbelieving sound. “Right. You came all the way out here, to a hidden adult shop, for an energy drink.”My face flushed with heat. I cleared my throat and started to walk to the other end of the street, hoping he’d just let me go. My heels clicked against the pavement a little too loudly, and I hated how conscious I was of every sound, every breath.Of course, he didn’t.He followed. Matching my pace, strolling like we were on some casual afternoon walk. I could feel the weight of his stare on my back, the amused little smirk probably still playing on his lips.“I didn’t think you’d be into adult toys,” he said, tone infuriatingly teasing.I stopped short. Whirled to face him.“There’s nothing wrong with usin

Ethan’s POVI stormed into the house, my footsteps echoing across the marble floor as if daring anyone to speak. I didn’t wait for a greeting, didn’t glance at the butler standing stiffly near the stairs. My pulse was still hammering in my ears, my jaw locked tight from everything that had just happened. Then I saw them.Katelyn’s slippers.Still neatly placed near the door. Still soft. Still hers.In my angry state, I didn’t want them there, didn’t want any trace of her in my space, not when she had walked away so easily. Not when she had let another man hold her in his arms while I stood there, watching like a fool.“Throw these out,” I barked, pointing at them without looking back. My voice was sharp. Cold. A command more than a request. The servant hesitated. “Sir, are you”“Did I stutter?”They disappeared without another word, and I turned toward my study.I thought if I worked, maybe I could shut it out. Maybe if I buried myself in documents and numbers, I wouldn’t keep seeing

Ethan’s POVI spoke out against Katelyn, anger thick in my voice, but before I could pull her further away, Matthew reached for her other hand.“Let go,” he snapped, voice firm. “Can’t you see she’s not feeling well?”The audacity of him touching her again lit something in my chest. I refused. My grip tightened.“She is still the mother of my child,” I bit out. “And I have the right to protect her.”Matthew’s eyes narrowed with fury. The tension between us was on a knife’s edge, barely held back by Katelyn’s silence between us. She stood frozen between us like some rope in a tug-of-war neither of us was willing to drop.Matthew glared at me like he wanted to punch me then and there, and honestly, part of me wanted him to try. The other part, the irrational, wounded part wanted to punch myself. Because I knew what I was doing wasn’t right. And I didn’t care.I wasn’t sure what I wanted anymore. All I knew was I couldn’t stand seeing her in someone else’s arms. Even if it was just a har

Katelyn’s POVScarlett stood beside Ethan with her usual fake sweetness, her hand casually grazing his arm like it belonged there. Her posture screamed innocence, but her eyes were sharp, watching me, waiting for a reaction. Her entire presence felt like a performance, and I was growing tired of the show. She tilted her head with that same smug smile, pretending not to notice the tension humming between us. Like always, she flaunted her connection to Ethan not just to feel powerful, but to provoke me.It worked, but not in the way she expected. I wasn’t jealous. I was disgusted.“Still playing the role of the devoted girlfriend?” I said quietly, but not softly enough for it to be missed.“Let’s be honest,” I said. “Everyone at this summit remembers what happened last time. She got slapped by Harland’s wife just right here. Publicly. And you think people forgot the rumors about her and Harland?”Scarlett’s face was drained of color.“You really brought a woman tangled in scandal to a

Katelyn’s POVRachel and I walked through the side hallway into the private dressing room at the back of the banquet hall. The soft golden lighting, the marble counters, and the racks of designer gowns my mother had sent over made it feel more like a showroom than a prep area. The scent of fresh roses and expensive perfume lingered in the air.On the rack near the mirror, hung a garment bag partially unzipped, revealing part of the dress. It was pristine, glowing like it had been waiting for the right spotlight.Rachel’s eyes widened the moment she saw it. “Is that… what I do think it is?”I carefully pulled the delicate fabric out. “It’s from the new Hermes collection.”She blinked. “Wait. As in, the limited-release collection?”I nodded once.Rachel practically choked on her breath. “Girl. This dress costs more than my entire rent for a year. Your mom doesn’t just have money. She has status. Like, silent-auction-in-Milan kind of status.”I smiled faintly. “She likes to make an imp

  • Amazing Ex Wife: Come Back Please   Chapter 65 No longer playing nice

Katelyn POVI was sitting in the magazine office, fingers curled around a warm mug of coffee, staring blankly at the screen. The soft clinking of keyboards and the faint hum of printers filled the air, but I wasn’t paying attention. My mind was still back in that cold, sterile prison visiting room, across from Cayden. He looked thinner than I remembered. Quieter. But no amount of remorse in his eyes could undo what he had done. I had stared at him for what felt like an eternity, my heart heavy but strangely calm. I wouldn’t waste another moment retaliating out of hatred. But I couldn’t forgive him either. Some things were too deep to mend with apologies. We were done. Completely.Love, I had come to realize, wasn’t always a fairytale. It didn’t always heal. Sometimes, it hurts more. So, I had made a decision, a firm one. I would focus on myself, on my future, my career. My phone buzzed. Rachel’s name lit up the screen. I picked it up.“Hey,” she said cheerfully. “I got us VIP pas
