Chapter 27

Carolyne storms into the room. “Wow, what a fight Nathan… congratulations!!” She sings the congratulations out.

She frowns at our serious faces “What’s with the faces?” She asks pointing at us.

James raises his eyebrow, looking at her sternly. “Carolyne, are you even human? Did your parent never teach you to knock?” He looks up at the ceiling deep in thought, then looks back at her again “Thinking about it now… did they even teach you anything?” He looks satisfied with himself while smirking at her.

“YOU!!!” Carolyne screams, walking toward him while pointing her finger at him.

James tilts his head while he is still smiling and holds one finger up at her… “OH… wait now I’m not finished. MY PARENTS always told me to answer a question… SO… If you have chosen to sit with us, you would have known why our FACES look like this.” He points between Nathan, him, and me. “But… NO…like always you took the cowardly way out and ran away… like ALWAYS!”

“JAMES!!!” Carolyne screams “I did NOT run…”
