Chapter 7

“Roscoe?” I call out, bringing him back from wherever he disappeared to in his mind. He blinks at me, then clears his throat.

“Do you still want him dead?” He asks. The rogue, still in his grip, wiggles.

“What? I didn’t hurt anybody!” He grits out, trying to loosen Roscoe’s grip.

“You are a rogue. Your existence hurts people.” Roscoe says, emotionless.

“That’s bullshit!”

“The choice is yours, Gemini. Do you want him dead or not?” He asks and I find my anger with the guy is long gone knowing Jude is alive, that he got away and that this rogue only stole his necklace has changed my view.

I fix people. I heal them from their pain and injuries. That is my sole purpose in life and while I would kill for my brother, I don’t think that is something that is necessary right now. Not for this guy.

“No,” I whisper, meeting Roscoe’s eyes.
