~Alden~

Alden sat up on his bed, the cool breeze tingling to his bare skin, his midsection to the upper part of his body exposed, white bed sheets covering his waist region. His skin tingled as sweat formed on his body. He dragged his hands through his hair repeatedly, almost in a frantic manner, as the weight of his sickness dragged down through each passing day.

“ What kind of decree has the moon goddess made?” he said, scrubbing his hands over his face. His eyes were burning with frustration.

“ How do I take back a cheating mate?” his burning eyes gazed at a corner in the room as he clenched and unclenched his fist.

He heard a knock on the door behind him, “My Alpha can I come in?”

“Come in!” he said, adjusting the bedclothes on his midsection to properly cover his groins.

His Beta enters his eyes narrowed around the room before settling on Alden. He cocked his head to the side and his brow lowered.

“Greetings my Alpha, you look disturbed, is anything wrong?”

Alden's posture remained stiff, his muscles were rigid and his burning eyes remained fixed on a spot.

"Alden!.., Alden!,” his Beta leaned in closer, waving his hands over Alden’s face.

Alden let out a deep sigh, then he clamped his palms together with his elbows resting on his lap, his eyebrows drew together, “Everything is wrong, my Beta, I think My illness is getting worse, I don't feel better after the medicine… the moon goddess decree… How do I even find my mate?” his lips pinched together and his jaw clenched.

His Beta let out a heavy sigh, his gaze darted to Alden and he placed his hand on his shoulder “ Don't worry we will find her.”

His Beta relaxed his muscles, straightening out his coat and his gaze shifted back to Alden, “The Council needs you right now.”

Alden emerged in the courtroom, three council elders sat on armchairs adjacent to Alden. A shadow of unease crossed the Elders' faces as they glanced at Alden. As Alden sat, one of the elders cleared his throat abruptly and he began to speak, “Greetings, Our Alpha, We are here today for an important message.”

Alden sat with tension radiating from his stiff posture.

The Elder studied Alden’s appearance with a flicker of disapproval, “You don't look okay…I mean Silvercrest can not be led by an Alpha looking like this.”

Another Elder nodded in agreement, his tone heavy with expectation and pride.“Since your father, Silvercrest has been the greatest of all packs and cannot afford to lose that respect.”

The last one leaned forward and adjusted his thin-rimmed glasses, his tone was firm, “You have to find your mate, we need an heir, even though she might have wronged you…it is the moon goddess's decree and there's nothing you can change about it.”

Alden clenched his jaw, the weight of their words settling heavily on his shoulders, brimming with a surge of frustration.

Alden cleared his throat, “I have heard you all, Silvercrest pack must not fall… I will do my best to find my mate.”

***

The sun cast long shadows on the outside of Silvercrest pack. Alden sat on his Court throne, his fingers gripping the armrest tightly as if holding himself together. Unease churned within him as his eyes flint around the scene before him. The pack armies gathered in front of him, with varying degrees of loyalty and concern, with his Beta at the front of them, his posture rigid.

“I gathered you all today because I need to search for my mate, the one who was banished…,” Alden began his tone carrying bitterness, with a tinged of hesitation. “I know this news might be a shocking one, it was to me too…”

He paused, the bitterness in his voice leading to a suppressed anger, “but I can't let the silvercrest pack fall all because of a Cheating Mate which the moon goddess has asked me to search for.”

His tone became hardened and authoritative, “So by tomorrow night, you all are to go into the woods to find Dana, you will be led by the sentinel.”

After Alden finished addressing the armies, he dismissed them with a curt wave.

Just as he was coming out of the courts and heading to his chambers, his Beta walked silently behind him. They both heard the faint sound of footsteps of someone leaving hastily.

“Who’s there?”Alden demanded sharply, his gaze filled with suspicion as his body tensed. He began to turn towards the source of the sound, his gaze narrowing in unease.

His Beta quickly Interrupted, raising a calming hand, a nervous smile tugging at the corners of his lips “My Alpha no need to worry, that might just be some… erm…maybe some animals having their time,” his voice carried a hint of anxiousness yet his eyes darted towards the shadow.

Alden’s lips pressed into a thin line, feeling reluctant to drop the matter clear, he gave a curt nod and resumed walking. Unease flickered in his chest as he walked toward his chambers.

As they walked further into the corridor, his Beta cast a knowing glance toward the dark, his expression portraying a hint of hidden loyalty. In the shadows, a pair of piercing blue eyes gleamed watching Alden and his Beta walk away. The Beta gave a subtle nod to the unseen figure acknowledging the figure, before returning to his composed demeanor.

They walked further into Silvercrest pack, with the Beta gaze flickering around the surroundings and tilting his head to the side to observe if anyone might have seen a trace of his hidden communication with the unknown person.

  • An heir from my rejected mate    I Will miss you

Everywhere were all set up in the Silvercrest. The outside were decorated prettily. The pack maids and pack guards were all set up and attentive. Dana opened her windows, her gaze lingered on the outside for a Moment. She pressed her lips into a smile. She turned her head slowly when she heard the door opened. Her maid walked in. She bow her head to greet Dana,“ Greetings my Luna,” Dana nodded slowly to her. The maid gestured to her,“ May I do your dress?” “ Sure,” Dana answered and she turned her back to her. The Maid started lacing the tie at the back of her dress. And for a second, Dana’s memory wavered back to the day she was rejected by her mate, the moment just all felt too similar like it was reoccurring. Of course she knows Alden will not reject her again but she wasn’t certain for sure. And she wonders why, because Adria was no longer in the picture. Unless there is another villian waiting to strike. “ Done, My Luna,” the maid said. Dana smiled to

“ Where is she?” Alden yelled, his voice thundering over the building. “ I swear, she was out in the fields,” A pack guard answered, his hands trembling. Another guard enters, he bowed to Alden,“ She is nowhere to be found.” “ WHAT!!!,” Alden yelled again, his thunderous voice filling the air. “ You two just get out of my sight, I will find her myself,” Alden said, he puts his hands on his waist and heaved a deep sigh. He paced around his room and something caught his attention. He wanted to ignore it but his mind kept drawing him back to that spot. He walked closer to his table, he picked a paper and opened it gently. It was a letter and it reads: Find me; In a cave in the woods, the smallest, let’s talk business, with hate, Adria Alden clenched his jaw, he tightened his fist around the paper. “ Arrrgh,” he grunts and stomps his hand on the table. He wore his coat and dashed out of his room. He get to the woods, he saw a small cave, in his mind he thou

  • An heir from my rejected mate    Adria’s POV

FIRST PERSON POV. I was waiting for the perfect time to strike and this is just it. I have been waiting for a moment now and time seems to be ticking fast, she was smiling at them all. Some maids were around her and even some pack guards. They seems to have miss her so much, her charm, yes that charm she had used to capture Alden’s Mind.I don’t care if it’s the moon goddess blessing or whatever. All I know is that she took my space, she knew I was in love with him. I’m not going to forgive her. I will pay her back. “And this is just the moment I have been waiting for,” I muttered to myself when I saw the pack maid and guard walking away from her. It was as though she dismissed them. She started walking into the fields. She reached the field and she started to inhale the scents of the flowers, she close her eyes and her hand trail over the flowers. Since when we had known each other, that was one thing she enjoy so well. Now she was alone in the fields, with no one around

“ I will do everything to wake you up,” Alden squeezed Dana’s palm gently. “ There is nothing I can do anymore, I could only work with the Moonflower Elixir,“ the healer exhale sharply,he turned to look at Alden,“ I think you should consult the moon goddess. He tapped Alden gently on the shoulder and walked away. Alden nodded. “ Yes, The moon goddess,” he muttered to himself, and pointed his finger to the air suggestively. He began to walk through the corridors, he met his Beta on the way. His Beta halted his steps as he saw Alden. Alden leaned close to him,“ Since you became my Beta, I have never treated you unfairly, you know that right?” “ Of course I do,” Beta replies, his brow wrinkling in confusion. “ Good,” Alden squished his brows, “ Are you the one that stole the Moonflower?” His Beta jerked his head up,“ No, No,” his brows wrinkled,“ Why do you even think it was me?” “ You were the last person with me,” Alden scoffed. “ No, I didn’t take it.” “ Th

Alden muscles were tightened as he walked close to the drawers in his room. His Beta followed him from behind. “ Get some warriors ready,we are going to Red Hill,” he commanded as his Beta helped him fit in his coat. He turned to face his Beta, who was staring at him with an incredulous look. “ What?” Alden questioned, his brows arched. His Beta used the back of his palm to touch Alden’s neck. “ What are you doing?” Alden slapped his hand away. “ Alden, do you know what you’re even saying, that place is a very dangerous place, people don’t survive there,” his beta said, his shoulders stiffened. “ That’s the only way I can get the Moonflower and the only way to save her,” Alden said. The Beta sighed,“ Okay, I wish you luck though.” “ Good, now go do what I told you,” Alden said and the Beta walked away. *** Alden hopped on his horse, four pack warriors also hopped on their various horses. They began to ride away. Alden stopped when he saw his Beta approachin
