Another Turning

After leaving Byron Lewis' study, my phone buzzed with a message from Elliot Lewis, telling me to meet him at the clubhouse. As soon as I walked into the room, his friends started teasing me."Just like a puppy, you come running whenever Elliot calls! Wendy, you're so clingy! It's embarrassing for your family.""Two months ago, she hooked up with Elliot at a party when he was drunk, and she got pregnant on purpose! Now, she's scared Elliot will dump her."Elliot, who was sitting in the middle, looked at me with icy eyes."Wendy, are you that desperate to marry me? You just found out you're pregnant yesterday, and today, you're already talking to my dad about marriage. The whole town's buzzing about our upcoming wedding."Don't think you can trap me with this baby. I haven't decided if I want to marry you. If I don't want to, nobody can make me."He looked at me like I was nothing. It was just like my previous life. He never loved me or the baby I was carrying.I took a deep b

My parents were relieved when they heard about Elliot's outburst at my birthday party. They were happy I had picked Joseph instead. They were so mad that they wanted to confront the Lewis family and give Elliot a piece of their mind, but I stopped them. I had bigger fish to fry.Joseph had given me a super fancy diamond ring. To show him how much I appreciated it, I decided to make his wedding ring myself. I planned to give it to him at a big dinner welcoming him back home. That was also when Byron would tell everyone we were getting married.A week later, I took the ring I made to the Lewis family's place. As I was chatting with the guests before dinner, I realized the ring was gone from my pocket. The security footage showed Sheila picking up the ring from the floor.I was so mad that I was shaking. I barged into Elliot's room, only to see him and Sheila getting cozy on the couch. She had a bunch of presents around her and was playing with my jewelry box.Elliot looked at me li

At Joseph's words, Elliot's frown grew deeper. "What's that supposed to mean?"He glared at Joseph, who was cutting my steak, his face turning red with anger. However, his phone kept ringing, so he could only leave everything behind and rush off.His departure did not mess up what came next. Byron took a deep breath, let go of his anger, and told everyone that Joseph and I were getting married. Everyone gasped. They all thought I was head over heels for Elliot and had even tried really hard to have his baby. However, things were different now. I held Joseph's hand, and we smiled at each other. Right then, Sheila sent me a mean text. [Wendy, see? Even when your wedding's being announced, one call from me and Elliot runs to me. Your fancy family doesn't mean a thing. Elliot never loved you. You're just in the way! And the position of the Lewis family's Donna? It'll be mine!]Was that so? I laughed to myself and blocked Sheila's number. …The next week, Joseph and I got bu

With memories from a previous life, Elliot was so sure that he would be the next Don and I would be his Donna. However, Byron's words shattered his dream like glass.Joseph looked at him, all serious. "Elliot, I decided to stay overseas for just one reason. It wasn't because I thought I had lost the race to be the heir. It was because I loved Wendy, but she loved you. "However, she's chosen me now. So, face the truth."Elliot's eyes were red, and in his current state, he could not hear a word. He just stared at me, his eyes swirling with strong feelings. "You knew it all along, right? You were never planning to marry me. You knew I wouldn't be the Don. That's why you sat next to my brother at that dinner. Even the wedding ring you designed wasn't meant for me. And that's why you don't care whether I show up to the wedding." I faced him with a blank look. "Elliot, I had told you so many times that I wasn't marrying you and that the wedding had nothing to do with you. You just

I gazed into his tear-filled eyes and said calmly, "Yes, I was reborn, just like you. And I remember everything you did."Elliot's body shook, and his eyes were full of nothing but hopelessness. His tears started to fall. He shook his head slowly, as if he could not believe it. "No... It can't be true! You belong to me, always!"He tried to hug me and kiss me while ignoring my attempts to push him away.Feeling his tears on my face, I was sick and humiliated.Just as he was about to tear off my clothes, the bedroom door burst open."Let her go!"The once dim room filled with light, and a loud bang echoed as a bullet struck Elliot's arm. Joseph stormed in with his team, kicked Elliot aside, and wrapped his arms around me protectively. He glared at Elliot, who was in pain on the floor. His eyes were icy and fierce. "I promised Dad I wouldn't end you, so consider this your last warning. Next time, it'll be much worse."Joseph's men held Elliot down while Joseph picked me up, his v
