playing with fire

Kieran’s POV

I had to sit beside Spencer since Nate wanted to test us as if we are only doing this for a show. We are currently eating our lunch and everybody was talking nonstop except for me and Spencer. I get it. It’s still awkward for the both of us to be seated next to each other. Although we have our friends with us, it’s still awkward and I don’t know why. I shouldn’t be uncomfortable since I’m just faking this. 

I watch Spencer from the corner of my eyes and I can sense that he’s shaking. He kept on massaging his hands under the table. He even lets out a fake laugh if Nate or someone talks their dad jokes. 

Fast forward, at last, the day is finally over. I had lunch with them and my class was already finished
