Chapter 16

I paced up and down my sleeping chambers, rushing to shut my curtains and slam my windows shut, closing doors and barricading them. I was protecting myself from the monster I so believed resided within my home.

It all made sense- it all suddenly made sense. He kept promising me that I would never be touched by either of those men- oh for the life of me, I had not in a million light years thought he meant that he would kill them.

"Murderer!" I exclaimed in fear and accusation to no person in particular. I could feel Lydia's judgemental eyes on my figure as I walked to and fro, attempting to save us from Master Abigor. I had not told her yet.

"Who?" she asked me as she sat on the corner of my bed, not moving as I had instructed her.

I ran my hands through my hair, feeling crazed and I most certainly looked as so, "I am to tell you something and I know that it may sound crazed, but it is the truth
